- My wife and I just finished our storage unit gym project and we couldn't be more pleased. This was a combination of do it yourself and hiring out experts. We had contractors do the walls and flooring. Once the GIANT LIFTING equipment showed up, I built that all solo in a span of about 12 hours.

I’ve updated the gym with more equipment and a Star Wars theme. Here’s the update video from Feb 2024:

Imagine being a client and being brought into that dungeon
Very nice!!! Great use of a small space
Good job sir! I hope all is well! From Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Thank you! I wish you happy holidays from Seattle, Washington!
Great video! Reminds me a lot of my current home gym setup. I’m particularly intrigued by your landmine. I went a more affordable route but I have to admit it’s been a bit annoying getting a plate out for the base every time. I’ll have to look into GIANT some more. Keep up the great work! 💪
Thanks! It's nice when a vision comes together. The thing I'm liking most about the landmine is being able to wedge the corners into a wall or squat rack which prevents me from needing a plate. It's heavy but idk if it would be heavy enough to not move if I just had it in the middle of a room.
This is so cool bro much respect
Thanks brotha!
love it. also building my own and cant wait
It's a ton of fun! No I know how get why my wife is particular about the living room. When it is your space, the little details are everything.
@@fitfortherepublic YESSS exacatlyyy. i treat my little home guy like its my house so I try to keep it as clean and perfect as possible
Saves paying for a gym membership. Definitely going to look into doing a project like this
This would cover an LA Fitness membership in 2 years plus the value of 30+ minutes of drive time each workout session for me. So I'd say it's worth it!
@@fitfortherepublicyoure telling me this was all only $900 because my gym membership is $40 per month nationwide access and $50 yearly fee.
Go Cougs.
Thx for video, I'm comparing REP PR-5000 to GIANT BD3X at the moment. Looks like both REP and Rogue attachments will fit the GIANT BD3X. I see you have the 2".
Great idea, aye! Proof that if there is a will there is a way.
Thanks! It definitely took some precise excel planning, but I was hell bent on making the space work.
I'm curious, when you have your bumpers stored on the back bottom pins/horns, can you still do flat bench presses inside the cage or does the weight on the bar hit the stored weight on the cage when you lower the bar to your chest?
Edit:. For clarification, I'm referring to the pins/horns that you bolted onto the sides of the cage, not the vertical horn that's built into the bottom back of the rack.
Good question. It does so I have to pull off the back pegs. I usually have my 45s to the back of the rack and other plates to the front. But those are on the bar usually anyways when I'm using the barbell.
Giant is very underrated!
do you have any ventilation there ?
Outstanding.
Thanks!
Bad ass set up for the space... A tv and a mirror would cool
Thanks sir! Just got a TV which adds a lot to it. Still deciding on where mirrors would go. One of the walls is covered with plumbing and one is 1/2 covered by tv now
@@fitfortherepublic i suppose it depends on mirror size, but i think the wall which ur squat rack is on would be my number one choice. Number 2 choice would be the wall where you have the portrait of yourself
Calisthenics a pair of adjustable dumbells squat rack with the bar and a few plates and im good rn
Excellent work!
¿How did you solve ventilation problems?, I can´t see any windows on images. ¿Is there humity smell or something like that?
Thanks!
There's two vents on the opposite side of the squat rack and dumbbells
How much room do you have between your barbell sleeve and the wall on that left side when you're loading up for a squat? My space looks super similar and loading the bumpers on can be prettttty tight.
It's a little over the diameter of a plate ~18 inches. So it's tight, but I just use the extra space on the left to store slam balls, foam rollers and KBs
Bro do you have a poster of yourself on the wall
Yes. I was an ambassador at lululemon for 4 years in Seattle. It was hung up in the store during that time. They gifted it to me when my contract ended.
@@fitfortherepublic lol
I can't find a lot of information about Giant. I'm curious how this Giant Power Rack compares to the Titan T2? Giant is cheaper, but after shipping, it's basically the same price as the Titan T2. Just curious if you know how they compare? They look very similar, maybe the trade off is that the T2 has a thicker gauge of tubing (12 ga) vs the 14 ga for this Giant, but the Giant has laser cut numbers to make moving attachments easier. Not sure what the other differences are.
Also curious how the powder coating is holding up or does it chip/scratch easily?
I wouldn't say it chips easily, but I have noticed scratching pretty easily. The other things I notice as a different is, to your point, the laser cut numbers. The Titan doesn't have any bars holes on the inside of the columns. Looks like the Titan has a standard pull up bar as well. My guess is the T2 is a little more because of the 12 ga vs 14 ga, but the Giant Power rack adds more design features. Hope that helps.
I did exactly the same dude on my home. Now I am on paradise 😂😂😂
It's so nice! I got a lift in while watching TNF last night. Perfect evening.
Thats the thing. The workout looks like a meditation. Just you and the weights 👊🏻👊🏻
Does that cause a friek headache i mean all those bells dangling...My CAP machine doesn't have it. DEVICE!!
Wow, what an awesome gym
Thank you!
Great video! I'm considering getting one too. How much did this roughly cost you overall?
Around $2,500 for the initial shipment of equipment seen here and then I've added a couple pieces for another couple hundred.
@@fitfortherepublic that's actually much less than I expected, thanks! hoping to have mine done by summer
@@depthking6857 for sure! The painting and flooring was more, but that was a separate job I'm not sure you'd need to do.
Surprise with the limited space you didn't go with one of those pull out racks off the wall like a PRX or maybe you had a budget
Yeah the nice PRX was out of budget. I like having the safety bars of a rack, especially since it's just me in the gym often times. The wall is also half drywall and have cement so I was worried about mounting on it.
Mirrors ?
Thanks Mr. For showing that there is less resistance NO just less weight pulled with one pulley well then the intelligent nature tripled your load or choke stress. Thanks didn't notice that. But a PT Program Admin needs to know wth your getting into. Legal and medical lawsuit
You bet.
I can be your representative , I GET 75% of all the money + expenses / fees. call my sec
@@QKVCS Your welcome to try, i mean its not much effort just some hard work.
@@QKVCS All equipent is exacerbate the poison INTELLIGENT dynamic from nature. Like weights on the dangler on the RACK. need not be there it goes on a Bell Tree with Shoe tree embedded in it.
spotter arms for front of the raxk ...double the utility
I've thought about that. It's tier 2 or 3 in terms of things I'd want to get next. I'd also love lever arms for pressing, but that's super specific. Right now I'm working on lighting, tv, and heat.
@@fitfortherepublic Good, the monolift is really great for benching either that or press from the bottom for me.
Get a lat pull down attachment
Is the pull up bar knurled?
no
No easy curl bar? Aslo You didn't showed bench press setup.
Nice
Looks like a huge ad for Giant Lifting equipment LOL. Kidding, nice gym bro, do you not find it a bit claustrophobic?
You're not wrong lol I have enjoyed the equipment thoroughly though and it's nice to have a "home team" to root for. As far as it being claustrophic... I don't notice it. Sometimes it's hard to move the bench around but that's it. If it's hot, I just open the door. The high ceilings help too.
Thanks for sharing, I was thinking about picking up that barbell. How are you liking it? Hows the knurling feel?
I like it so far. Aesthetically it looks great and the knurling is a really fine diamond that grips well but hasn't chewed up my hands. The one thing I'll say is the barbell took a couple weeks to deslime (not sure how else to describe it). This is my first new barbell purchase so I'm not sure if that's common, but it almost felt too new the first week. Now it's totally fine.
May I know How much of your machines cost?
You can check out prices for each piece here: giantlifting.com/#Athlete5 (Use code ROTA10)
Very nice, but is the pic on the wall you? That’s crazy 💀
I was a lululemon ambassador for 4 years. They gave me the poster they hung up inside the store. Where else should I have put it if not in my gym?
If you tripled the choke stress on my elbow with intelligent radiation with a pulley, then you are liable to medical lawsuit.
Soft product or service like a haircut. It's 100 times a haircut.. watch Coach Jeff athleanx
@@AjaychinuShah Jeff is my uncle. We have Christmas together and lift every year. Great guy.
Need some mirrors bruh
Mirrors, TV, and a space heater.
Any regret power rack purchase instead of squat rack in this "tight?" space?
Not yet. I like having the cage for spotting and flexibility to rack inside and outside. I also didn't want to deal with a wall mount since I have concrete on the bottom half of the wall. I also enjoy having multiple grips for pull ups.
@@fitfortherepublic Nice cover-up onto your Faith is the infinity Variety and depth of Science. Good show
I tried your code and it didn’t work, just so you know. I tried it on sale stuff and on full price items.
Thanks for the heads up. I spoke with the owner and they're looking into it. Try TCM10. That's a code of a colleague of mine and it still works
I definitely would have gone the adjustable dumbell/kettlebell route and wedged it into a corner, and added a machine or something else where the dumbell rack is.
I re-watched and heard you say something about clients. Now I know why you probably preferred normal dumbbells.
yeah. if it's for me, I'd add an adjustable dual cable machine and a dip bar and we're money.
How does a Giant small home gym differs from a Small giant home gym?
Easy, buy small equipment and put it in a giant home gym.
