Ok, so the insurance company 100% WILL insure a car that’s been repaired as thoroughly as this one, I own a repaired “salvage” title vehicle. It was repaired well, and it’s impossible to tell it was ever wrecked. State Farm covers it fully.

Well, given the fact it was hit from the side, the Volvo sustained more damage than the bullet car, with exception if the bullet car was an old and small car.

Что мне нравится в работе Артура ,так это то что он ,хотя бы на видосах не пытается замаскиро-
вать вмятины тоннелей и пр. под коврами,или подравнивать плоскости подрезанием кромок.
Всё выводит в ноль.А ещё у него очень хороший стапель с гидродомкратами и снабжённый
картами размеров деталей и проёмов кузовов.Такое ощущение,что ранее Артур работал на СТО
где набрался хорошего опыта.

Один из клиентов назвал нас "доктора машин ". И всё бы ничего.... Действительно можно провести аналогию, но....
Машина - это всего лишь кусок железа. Мятого, гнутого может быть, но железа.
Переживать нужно за людей, которые могли пострадать при аварии. Ноги и руки человеку не отрихтуешь. Нельзя отрезать и приварить новую запчасть человеку.
@@yawiiild чтоб заработать деньги, приходится рисковать здоровьем, напрягаться. На деньги покупаешь машину, с ней случаются такие вещи, зная как дорого она обошлась всегда за нее переживаешь, новую купить вообще не вариант. Поэтому так.

You most definitely do the best work i've seen (and i have NO knowledge on fixing chassis) BUT, this car can't be safe to use again. It's was deformed in every way possible
I wouldn't let my biggest enemy to drive it, after this, but as to what can be done if you have patient, great job!

Нужен срочно обзор Шелков после Артура!
А смысл? Шелков увидит, что бочину меняли и красили, и швы на стойках толщиномер найдет. А насколько качественно или нет, ему пофиг. Поэтому конечно вердикт будет автохлам. Хотя это и не так, несмотря на довольно сильный удар, после ремонта авто вполне безопасно для последующей эксплуатации. Вот только эксперты не тех.осмотр, им нужно найти следы ремонта, он их найдет. Но ролик о таком авто наверное не снимет, все таки это авто сильно отличается по качеству ремонта от тех, что мелькают в видео Шелкова.
@@user485n64 Шелков ни раз говорил что против качественного ремонта не возражает. У него больше претензий в случаях, когда подобные машины продают "небитнекрашен".
Ну а обнаружить факт ремонта здесь можно без всяких толщиков и т.п. тупо сдёрнув уплотнители дверных проёмов...
Самое интересное будет проследить за коррозией. Будет ли порог ржаветь сильнее чем не битый?

Есть видосы у Артура где прям по моему скромному мнению все в полный идеал, и сложилось такое впечатление что Макс возможно что то и не заметит, все мы люди и можем что то не досмотреть или просто не обнаружить ту или иную вещь
@@user-ne7ko9bf1d нет, это адский тотал по и Макс его запросто найдёт. Сдёрнет резинки в дверных проёмах, а там всё переварено или замазано шпаклей вместо точечной заводской сварки. Потыкает толщиномером в заднюю стойку крыши и найдёт сварку. По багажнику снимет обшивки а там незаводской герметик намазан. Ещё на кантиках порога зажимы от стапеля оставляют адские вмятины. В общем, даже я бы такую тачку при должном осмотре не купил. А спустя год два адски начнет гнить задняя арка, которую зачем-то отрезали и переварили (родная же была ОК), зачем?! Порог сгниёт, будьте уверены. Не гниёт только завод, т.к. там после сварки грунтуют погружением в ванну и пропусканием электричества. Все швы изнутри грунтуются. А тут будет полный ***
Качество Завод! Спасибо что дали новую жизнь ещё одной машине!

По вин номеру можно пробить всю подноготную авто, если конечно она битая была в США. Смотрите Грузинский рынок.
За 18 лет опыта по ремонту автомобилей встречались тачки в целофане приезжающие на ремонт с автосалонов.
Термин "не бит, не крашен " - для подержанных авто вообще не актуален.
С америки никто в здравом уме не будет гнать целый автомобиль, т.к. это невыгодно. Только битки

This is just an educated guess but I'm going to take a bet body shops in Russia charge about $30-$40 an hour, a repair like this has to be about 100 hours all in so lets call that $4000 in labor. Parts probably come to about $2500 and another $1500 for paint work.
So all in I'd estimate about $8000 I could be very wrong though.
@@wetlettuce4768 I'd say 2400$ or 3000$ total max. Labour is cheaper in Russia, and his monthly pay could range from 1300$-2000$, and i'd say he makes 7-10$ an hour. Keep in mind that 700$ is an average monthly pay.

Здравствуйте! Отличная работа. На туннеле только залом остался, но это не критично, хотел бы узнать что за шпатлевку вы используете? Похожа на ту что используют по алюминию. Сделайте пожалуйста обзор по материалам которые используете (шпатлевку, грунт, герметики и др). Удачи в работе и продвижению канала.

Плох тот жестянщик, кузовщик, который скрывает свои деффекты в качестве сварных швов. Это не шпатлёвка - это грунтовка, что бы машина благополучно, без очагов ржавчины доехала до автомаляра.

I think the insurance would total this car and junk it or sell for donor parts. The repair cost is so high that the fender wouldn't be fixed, just replaced. I've spliced cars like this. one front wreck and one rear hit, cut and spliced for one. Done in an independent shop, not pro collision repair. We kept photos of all procedures so the cars could be recertified and listed as "salvaged" on the title. None of our repairs came close to Arthur's art!
The car came from America. It's a IAA salvage auction car. You can tell by the windshield, where they place their paperwork. Copart salvage auction cars have like a bumper sticker size number sticker at the top of the windshield on the drivers side. Arthur has done a lot of Copart cars too.

I usually applaud all of Arthur's work and indeed his work on this occasion is his best .However this vehicle should never have been sold on to be repaired,example the transmission tunnel is beyond straighting etc etc due to the varying types of metal used. Opinion no.....Fact yes......
About the only bent metal straightened and reused is the trans tunnel / front fender. Everything else was replaced. The trans tunnel was not even bent badly given his initial pull was with what looks like a 8 mm bolt for the console. Granted, from a labor standpoint, this isn't an economical repair in the US due to high labor costs / low vehicle costs. Would Volvo approve of this repair? Probably not due to any potential liability.
And I do agree, this is on the very fringe of a repair. If you want to see something really scary, have a look at ( EDIT , THE FOLLOWING IS NOT MY CHANNEL, WORK OR CAR ) > Rebuilding the Wheel Well & Trunk on my Salvaged GT-R on the channel B if for Build . There are piles of people that think this is an acceptable repair. !

I'm sure you are aware of the different formulae to produce varying metal strengths in key places to reduce weight. These different metals are not made to straighten or be reused. Just for clarity, I am not B is for Build. The vid title I referenced is not my car or my work.
As for the trans tunnel, the is a notch in it for seal clearance. The bolt pull got the tunnel mostly into shape , he then welded a tab on for a second pull. There is a slight dent in the trans tunnel where he was pulling but that would be fixed by hammering from the underside.

Well - probably not. The car meets the requirements to be returned to the road in Australia - and if you can get it re-registered here, it's definitely safe for 3rd world countries like Russia and the Ukraine.
It's just a matter of getting it painted now, and it's good to go.
We see a lot of criticism of Arthur’s work saying the cars are dangerous. I, personally, don’t have an issue but that’s my judgement. You say this car would pass inspection in Australia. What is the criteria? To meet that criteria is vindication for Arthur.

Are sure about that Australia? Specially that he told that he got it from the owner. IMHO it just typical Eastern European / Russian recycling with ignorance around safety etc. Source: I'm from Poland and years ago we had the same thing here. Plus work of people was cheap so it was profitable to recycle cars like that.
Well it looks like he changed all the defirmed high strength steel parts, including the b pillar which I assume is made from boron steel. I wouldn't have second thoughts on buying it if it was a good offer. I am not completely sure that the corrosion protection has been compromised by the repair thought. Would be a bad thing here in Denmark
Although we didn’t see it here he usually sprays the inside of rewelded components. Perhaps he did it off-camera.

Геометрия - это первое, что исправляется. Для жесткости меняются детали. Но право Ваше, на чем ездите. Кстати на чем и новой брали?;-)
