    Just a heads up, we bought a 2016 hrv, it was pre owned but a great vehicle....I noticed and pointed out to the salesman that there was a knocking noise coming from the rear, we bought the car anyway with the agreement that they would fix this issue, we took it back after a couple weeks and the service guy told us there was a recall on the rear struts, so they replaced them, all the noise went away, then returned after only a couple months, turns out, when they replaced the struts that were defective, they put the same (new) defective struts back on it, so after replacing them a couple times , they finally got the good upgraded struts on it, we have been ok a couple years now, however, now the fronts have gone bad now 😩

    Thanks, easily done. I could not get the 'boot assembly' off of my shocks, I had to remove the rubber boot to get to the metal stopper assembly inside and tap it with a hammer to get it to come off. Even though I live in California there was a bit of corrosion holding it firm. After that mine was exactly as yours. Thanks - Saved me $600.00

    Awesome video.. Wouldn't happen to have a video of doing the front as well would ya?? And yeah the dealership is a rip off.. They wanted $1300 for a drive shaft and almost the same amount for labor.. Found a shaft on ebay that only had 4,000 miles on it and a family friends garage only charged $75 to install it..

    I don't think there is much to be gained pumping the shocks the wrong way up. The idea is to get the fluid to the bottom where it is required to act against the plunger inside using gravity to allow the fluid(or gas) to fall. The reason we do this is because they have been stored and transported in a horizontal position. The shock will become notably stiffer following a couple of pumps if performed on the orientation as intended for use.

      Very good point. Mindless moment on my part. Appreciate the civil and contributory comment. The “scene” has been edited out. Not to guard my fragile ego 🤣 but to prevent others from repeating the pointless exercise. If you have no objection I would like to make a short “correction” video. With your comment details included. Pinned.

    I have a honda vezel hybrid car rear tires both out of camber. Is their possiblity to correct it.

    • @TheGibby3340
      @TheGibby3340  Рік тому

      Sorry, I am not familiar with that model. Fatigued springs will not only alter ride height but might affect camber. Obviously check bushings. Thx for watching.

    • @maxboya
      @maxboya 2 місяці тому

      Yes as worn out shock absorbers have more sag which increases camber substantially. It’ll have lower ride height and more bouncy plus noises when bad. Eventually it’ll fail and collapse entirely onto just the spring.
