I know the worlds genius is thrown around lightly these days, but Alexandr might well be the greatest accordionist of all times. He doesn't just play, he actually transcends what the instrument can do, make it noble in the process.

I’ve heard Michael Cleveland play a violin that would melt your heart out to listen to. But this. This is mastery beyond mortal comprehension. This is true prodigy. He literally embodies the entire orchestra in one instrument. Incredible.
Forget about the squeeze-box, forget about this is performed on an instrument that most people have mainly a negative attitude to. Just listen to the MUSIC. This is not great, but huge art. What a performer, arranger and improviser. Anyone who tried the accordeon, knows that this is perhaps the hardest instrument to play. Different systems in the right and left side, then the bellows (challenging when it comes to dynamics), 16 kg, heavy. I did. I would rate Aleksandr as one of the most outstanding performers in our time. And I'm mostly into jazz/fusion and some classics. Think I have to pick up my squeeze-box again ;)
