Truly an eye-opener. Wish more skeptics out there who do not believe in the efficacy of small measures (including me sometimes) watched this. I use LEDs but have always thought their benefits were wishful thinking or had a minimal environmental impact at best. Thanks for showing the huge difference they make.
Two more major advantages of LEDs: (1) easy to make in any shape. There really is no reason to make them as bulbs, except you need that for a direct, drop-in replacement. (2) economical to make and run in any size. Great for Christmas tree lights.

It is never included what one saves by not having to pump out the excessive heat from an old light bulb with the air conditioner.
