I'm 56, a single guy. Never wanted to marry or have kids. But Bill seems to be going through a midlife crisis. Never able to understand other people's life choices. For me, it must be amazing if you find the right person! And Paul always serene, quick, witty and naturally charismatic! BUT ALWAYS LOVE BILL FOR HIS AUTHENTICITY.
Comedy in front of friends is different than comedy in front of strangers, because of familiarity and immediate understanding. Professional comedians earn the familiarity, and let's face it that is half the battle of getting the laughs. I don't want to discount skill and hard work, but familiarity is a big factor no one talks about.

There is nothing virtuous or superior about being married and having kids. That’s a selfish decision as well. I think we single people get sick of being lectured too that were defective because we aren’t married.

Even worse, most of the "people" who aren't getting married and having kids are the exact ones who _should,_ and the ones who are getting married and having kids are the exact ones who _shouldn't._ Especially in terms of GDP contribution, human capital and govt welfare program dependence. That's the bigger issue at play here. And I say that as an unmarried, childless Millennial.
Paul Reiser is such a talented comedian and actor. His stand-up act was as sharp as any headliner with multiple specials. He was remarkable playing the unconventional corporate bad guy in Aliens. He pulled more than his weight on Mad About You. It saddens me that we will have him and his talent for a time and people will forget his body of work, like Jack Benny and Rodney Dangerfield.
I saw Carlin at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston in the 90's .. Walks out, puts his piece of paper w/ a bottle of water on the Stool and goes right into Bits .. "No Opening" whatsoever ..

Most people let it go, guy has to make a living; but to me it felt like it's not respecting the paying crowd. Still liked him afterwards, but not the same way.

I was an extra in a movie Paul did with Soliel Moon Frye (Punky Brewster) showing my age. This was in Las Vegas where I still live. I cannot remember the name of the movie for some reason? Anyway, there was a pool scene I was in w/a girl I met there, bikinis and all. Her name was Hounani. Paul loved her name and was very interested in her, a beautiful Hawaiian girl. She was a bit younger than me and she didn’t know who he was. He said to her; “If I was 20 years younger” (…) He was very kind & very funny. I had such a crush on him way before meeting him. I could tell I was not his type. However.. he was kind to us both. Ps; Way before he was married. Good to see he is faithful man. Still funny and very handsome.
