I like this song and I'm glad that the video is not the stereotypical "man-meets-woman-story". We need this more often. I'm a straight woman and I think there's still too much people who doesn't see the way it is. Homosexuality is what you were meant to be, it's how you were born - and it's definitely not a choice.

But, honestly, I do not get why so many guys hate gay people. Since when does sexuality has anything to with talent? Eli Lieb is clearly very talented, whether he is gay or not it's his talent that should be recognized not his preference in partners. It’s 2024 and I just found out about this song, I LOVE IT! 💕
I was a closeted kid, figuring my sexuality out when I came across this video back in 2014. Watching this music video and jamming along to this incredible song gave me a sense of comfort that maybe when I turn 22, I would also have someone special. I'm 25 now and it still hasn't happened, but this song takes me back to that closeted 15 year old self that had hope after seeing how free the actors in the MV are. Also, I've heard this song so many times that even if I come back to it after months, I can sing along word for word!

hi guys! i just want to share a vulnerable part of my life. when i discovered this song, in october 2013, i was 14 years old. i was in the closet. and i remember being in my room with my headphones with full volume listening to this song. i came out of the closet, lived happy experiences and forgot at all about this song. now, i am 22 and the algorithym showed me this song in the middle of a duel that am healing due to a heartreaking relationship. i just can not believe that now am feeling exactly how Eli Lieb was feeling, now this song hits different because in the past was a fantasy singing this song, and now and then will be a reality... Block it out, keep your head up and just keep moving forward. You can either use the timing of her unfortunate and ignorant comments to burst outta that closet and enlighten her now, or do so at a later date more suitable to your choosing. Either way, hopefully, eventually, in you, she will see the error of her thinking (or not). Whatever the case, know that sometimes even family members have to be blocked-out physically or mentally for our own wellness and acceptance. Forgive her---within yourself---and continue moving on & letting your rainbow shine and your colors burst thru. Good luck !😀

It does happen and nobody really cares that much anymore. I found it easier coming out because there were 2 of us.
