Best episode of the season so far?? Things are moving now!
Team Yomigaeri literally means team 'who came back from dead/resurrected', so yes they're exactly the 100 people who was killed by Falmuth invasion and resurrected by Rimuru. Just like Shion who hoped that she can cook then got a Unique Skill 'Master Chef', everyone who were dead regretted that they weren't strong enough to defend themselves and Tempest and in the end make Rimuru's sad by dying too.. So each of them was granted gifts of 'Perfect Memory' and 'Infinite Regeneration', basically making them a squad of Zombie who were really hard, even impossible to kill... Really terrifying squad, that Yomigaeri..
Bonus: Kurenai members were originally Hobgoblins and Goblinas who evolved into Ogre (see Kurenai's captain, Gobwa, her name started with 'Gob' like Gobta & co, means she was one of the original goblins who first swor their allegiance to Rimuru) when the got their share of gifts from Rimuru's evolution, because they admire Benimaru and wanted to become stronger and useful to him. Basically all Hobgoblins and Goblinas could evolve into Ogres, but some chose to stay as Hobgoblins and Goblinas (especially those who were civillians, farmers, cooks, merchants and had other civil jobs). The hobgoblins and goblinas who chose to stay as they are (like Gobta, Rigurd and Rigur) because their pride for being a member of Hobgoblin race, still got stronger and cleverer, and instead got some extra skills to 'compensate' their 'rejection' to evolve further...
Did you notice that the little goblina is the one that Shion died trying to save in s2?
She went from scared little girl to a badass pseudo immortal fighter since then 😂

Shion's army is Yomigaeri, those who were killed when Falmuth armies came, they together with Shion got skills after Rimuru evolved to Demon Lord, even when they are killed they're going to revive and heal themselves as if nothing happened..that's why Shion's army is compatible for stalling..
10:53 Death Ogres cant die unless you basically destroy their souls. Their bodies will always regenerate to regular wounds.
The healing properties of Shion's troops were mentioned last ep I'm pretty sure.
In the novel Hinata mentions last time she visited Blumund it was just a small rural backwater ... where most of its efforts and resources was spent to on protectin itself and surviving ... they could not waste on such luxuries ...
That was something only Large Prosperous and Safe settlements could afford like Englesia or old Farmus and even then the labor cost, effort and time needed to bring things from their old world to fruition in this one was incredibly prohibitive ...
So seeing a kingdom she had a good grasp on so fundamentally transformed that is the shock
With how much they had to focus on just helping humanity survive most Otherworlders just give up on large scale changes and if they even try they have to content themselves with small innovation.
Especially once they Learn about the Angels and the Tenma War ...

Even in our World imagine building miles of high quality road through a Dense Jungle teaming with scores of dangerous animals in a few months ....
That was another shock .... Hinata knows Jura how it was .... to get to the cave would take you around 2 weeks .... from the edge of the forest at best and you would have to continuously fight monsters on your way there ... even for someone as powerful as Hinata it would be arduous
And within a few months that was transformed into a Leisurely Stroll as safe as if you were walking inside of a city ....

Correct, i mean Hinata may be a bit of a bad example for difficulty, but her knights would fit that description.

I've really been looking forward to this episode. The reactions from Hinata to seeing Japanese culture in this world are one of my favorite parts of early Tensura. They really helped make her one of my favorite characters.

Translations are going to drive me insane this season aren't they? Now they're using the fan translation Seven Days Clergy instead of Seven Luminaries.
Honestly, I think even the episode title, "Saint and Demon Confrontation", is a mistranslation. The book is called "Saint-Monster Confrontation", there are no demons in this episode and this isn't the first time the english sub has translated monster as demon.

I feel sorry for Renard. The Seven Luminaries preyed on his unrequited love for Hinata (revealed in the LNs) to manipulate him.
Side Issue: Them calling him Renard is the standard Japanese issue with Rs and Ls. Leonard Jester ｢レナード・ジェスター, renādo jesutā｣. Thankfully this is a Japanese-English issue and not them using fan translations in the subtitles.

The Yomigaeri are the embodiment of the phrase "Death by a Thousand Cuts" due to their undead-like characteristics. The Crusaders should be using Holy Magic not sword techniques
Too bad the knights don't have Hinata's soul stealing sword to use on the Yomigaeri. Think they wouldn't be able to come back from that.
@@wkadalie Correction: It doesn't steal souls, it cuts the Spiritual Body (the metaphysical mind) and potentially the Astral Body (the vessel of the soul).
Though, yes, destruction of the soul is the best way to kill something. In fact, it's one of the only two ways to kill spiritual beings with the other being total energy drain.

@@danwolf6076 Demon Slime not Demon. It's a reference to the fact that he's a slime whose a Demon Lord. Not to mention, all magicule based life possesses the demonic attribute. Hell, the Japanese word for magicule literally means demonic element.
Plus, as I mentioned, I'm pretty sure the episode title is a reference to the name of Volume 7, "Saint-Monster Confrontation."

Rimuru did choose those 4 to match number of paladin beside hinata. It was in last episode
They couldnt increase the pacing from the LN without cutting very important details so yes all the world building was nessessary since becoming a reconized demon lord cones with alot of logistical changes for Tempest so it needed to get sorted out before the conflicts could begin, i knew it was coming and told everyone i could to not expect it to be action packed out the gate but the pay off will be worth it this season
You know no one is healing them but themselves right? You did see that last episode when they specified that theyre an abnormal C rank with the skills self creation and perfect memory. Meaning faster self regeneration skills
i think they said in season 2 that he was 10 times more stronger after becoming demon lord but then he also absorbed clayman so now i don't know
It was said that Rimuru had 10 times more magicules then before evolution. 10 times magicules doesn't equal 10 times stronger. It's not a linear scale, especially with the skill types he has. ( Mainly the Ultimate level skills)
Hinata tho, remember when she fought Rimuru in season 2 and used that barrier? She would have won even without, casually. Remember, she killed demon lord Roy Valentine and his twin brother, and that's was before she trained under the 7 Luminaries and Luminous Valentine. In that 1st fight against Rimuru, she was playing around. Not even using her main equipment or the OP abilities she has. Personally, I'd say that, back then, if she didn't held back, she could have 1 shot pre-awakening Rimuru without the barrier
W/ those mtgs behind us, we know that there is no simple resolution to Rimuru v. Hinata as Renaud will complicate matters and we know there is a literal host of other interested parties lining up to take their shot at Rimuru and the JTF.

Everyone in Shion's group are people who died last season and were brought back to life when Rimuru became a Demon Lord. The reason they are able to heal so quickly is because the ones who died all gained a gift that makes them very difficult to kill, if not functionally immortal (I don't remember the specifics).

Only shion has ultra speed regen.
In the last episode you could see one goblin beeing cut down and it took a few seconds before he was healed again.

Good evening, good morning, nice to meet you.I would like you to watch the anime request Girls & Panzer.
Yeah they for sure fucked up the pacing with all the meetings. I like the political aspect of the series, but there has to be a better way to do it than a bunch of extended scenes of a group of people sitting in a room talking. It's the type of thing that doesn't bother me when it's in a novel, but it sucks to watch. Loved this episode though.
There just are a lot if meetings in the novel though.
I get what you're saying, i feel the same. I think its kinda hard tho to pace ALL those meetings from the source material.
Also i dont know what they are going to do about the 1 and a half novels, solely about the labyrinth...
