I am literally sick and tired of hearing about the Row and how all of a sudden everyone is so in love…blah blah blah. Love the video!!!
The Margot bag was looking exactly like my grandfathers lunchbag that i inherreted and my husband used up to 10 years Ago. It was from the 1950-50 . So i laugh! I guess bag modells in base isnt so different
My grandfather carried his bowling ball in something eerily similar.
A bowling bag has a wide base, true. A slender profile is a laptop case with the side buckles to support different screen sizes plus a battery cable. It prevents warping on brittle corners. Prada has sold laptop style bags in the past, I saw them in menswear. Only difference now is rounded corners, more rounded than before.

He won't pressure his SA for a bag or a pair of Chypres. He will take as many frisbees as his SA suggests to earn a bag (of the SA's choosing). The epitome of Class~

I am being extremely sarcastic here. but this is pretty much the commentary I have heard from loyal Hermes customers online in response to any criticism about the Hermes game and the law suit. I love Hermes products, but can't get behind the game despite having a few really good experiences getting some lovely non quota bags and other items I wanted and I don't regret any of my purchases. but I think you need to get into the regrettable purchase territory buying up "birkin bait" to get an offer for those bags

I worry more about quality than history. I think the bags are similar quality. And The Row is more affordable than most Hermes bags.

The Prada bag is EXACTLY the same as the Margaux. I went to Bergdorf's in February and the SA's were showing it to me in comparison to the Margaux. It's crazy. I was like Miuccia girl, where is your shame?!
It's a standard laptop bag or soft briefcase, Prada cornered the market in those for businessmen long ago. The handle is the Galleria minus the buckle. Kooples is used as inspo for The Row anyway if you really look, there's far more interesting branding. Like a modern YSL. The Row bounces between YSL/Kooples and Celine too much, it's tacky, bland and obvious once you know.
i think the margaux is more similar to the garden party. i think all those writers and vloggers comparing the bag to hermes is just crazy. some people want to call that bag the new birkin, especially those clout chasing vloggers, for their content and so they can tell a lot of people that they have this "it" bag. i'm glad i got the margaux before everyone's vlogging about it.
btw, ferragamo did their own iteration of the margaux. hahaha.
At this point, vloggers writing about a fashion trend is surely the end of it as actual fashion, as it moves into whatever circus is next.

Unpopular opinion. The Birkin is really overrated. It is heavy. The handles are difficult to use. Very shortly after use it becomes lumpy and disfigured. In order for it to be useful to get in and out of, it must be carried flopped open and straps hanging everywhere. Therefore, design wise, it has a lot of useless elements that makes it ridiculous. The Kelly is great.

I've seen Ralph Lauren bags on sale years ago that looked like that. I had an old laptop bag in the 2000s that looked like that. It's a standard laptop bag shape. Side buckles give it away!

The Row is so funny, if you go into their store they quite have a stuck-up employees, surprisingly more intimidating than Hermes stores, it’s so bizarre. Also I agree it looks more like a bolide, also if you feel the bag, it’s not a my favorite, it feels a bit flimsy.

Lol they literally have everything for purchase at Hermes. Sometimes the employees just sit around laughing at what is actually getting purchased, they can’t believe it themselves, and believe me I have had friends who worked there on Madison Avenue so I know what I’m talking about. But yeah, there’s always going to be another bag, and another bag. I’m just over the whole thing and I’ll let you know that having had friends who’ve worked there in the past, this Kelly and Birkin thing literally just popped out of nowhere. Of course it DID exist but it just wasn’t a “thing” and people were just as content purchasing other brands. This brand is making people actually beg, here, take my money, please! I’ll do anything even buy a $2k sofa pillow I don’t need. That’s why you only ever see one of those pillows on the couch, they couldn’t afford to get two of them. It’s crazy and I hope Hermes and Chanel learn their lesson not to treat customers this way. I hope people just find something else to obsess about and these bags can go back into anonymity. I’m old enough to remember people actually asking what the heck is a Birkin after that episode of sex and the city. It just wasn’t a thing ever people made it a thing. It’s kinda like that mean girls movie when they made fetch happen.

The Margaux is the new (Moynat) Rejane which was supposed to be the new Birkin.
As an Hermes lover, I welcome the existence of these new hype brands. The lesser the people aspiring and wearing Hermes, the better for us Hermes aficionados.

Exactly the word Dacob, they in their gracious way allow a customer to purchase the Berkin or Kelly of their choice (Hermes's choice in this case..lol) or if kind enough a bit nearer to the customer's choice. I bought the EW Margaux in smooth Dark Chocolate, and I do have to say... I LOVE it. It was either a Birken or a Marqaux, and I'm very happy with my choice. The leather quality is amazing. The day after I bought the bag, it was sold out, and all of the Margaux bags have been sold out ever since. You know they'll raise the cost, but at what point? I paid close to $8,000 after tax, so I wonder just how high they will go?
Now Prada? C'mon they completely copied the Margaux. Prada are literally attempting to ride the coattails of the success off the Margaux. How low down can you go? Shame... Shame... Shame...

If the Olsen twins think they're comparable to Hermès then they are sorely out of their league. Up until the "quiet luxury" trend from last year, The Row was something people snagged at outlet stores like Nordstrom Rack or Saks Off 5th for like 80% off. What does "The Row" even mean? Is it an allusion to Saville Row? What does an American casual RTW brand have to do with a street in London FAMED for bespoke menswear tailoring??? Where are these clothes & bags made and who manufactures them?
I think one of the things that makes Hermes so special and valuable is *not* that it's hard to obtain, but that it's an independent family-owned brand that owns nearly all aspects of their production. There are so few brands in existence that can say that, and NONE of them are being talked about amongst the "qUieT LuXuRY" crowd.
They can market the margot however they want, but in reality, this is not a Hermès competitor, this is the spiritual successor to the Céline Luggage Tote... It's having its moment now, and it may very well continue to enjoy success, but it will never quell anyone's hunger for a Birkin or Kelly.
Some of the higher brands are copying one another and beginning to look alike.. It’s hilarious to me 😂

Hermes Birkin and Kelly will alway be the IT bag. Hermes unlike other brands Louis Vuitton/Chanel charge a crazy price with super bad quality. Hermes give the best quality and customer service/ workmanship. the Margaux bag will always be a cheap version of the Hermes bags.

There will never be a bag to replace the Hermes Birkin unless you want something , that looks nothing like a Birkin, cheap! Call it whatever you want but I was “allowed “ to purchase 2 Birkins and I love them. If people want a Birkin replacement it’s not a Row Margaux Bag, there is no such thing. Years ago TODS had a bag that looks just like the Row bag so this is nothing new, the only reason it’s the so called “it” bag is because of social media.
Honestly, not a fan of the Prada bag. I much prefer the Row bag. I don’t like them silver logo, takes away from the overall look of the bag.
