Thanks for comments on UA-cam, I successfully installed Wyze Video Doorbell V2 and made my original mechanical door bell working. Viewers explained the mechanical door bell very clearly. My NuTone mechanical door bell made in 1958 output 20 volt AC to the front door bell button. I do not need to install the included mechanical doorbell controller. I directly connect the Wyze Video Doorbell V2 to the two wires of the original button, set up Wyze, and in the Settings, change the Settings > Chime > Doorbell Chime Type to Mechanical. Whenever the Wyze button is pressed, my mechanical door bell rang. Everything else seems to work fine so far.
I completely agree. I just wish they would make "Camera Battery Backups". Small battery backups that can power the cameras in the event of a power outage so we never miss footage.
Thank you for the info it was great two questions 1-where can I found a security case or housing for doorbell v2 and 2-How many days approximately SD 128GB or S 256GB cards can hold? Thank you
As for the security cases, I would check Amazon. They should have a ton. As for the storage, a 128GB Micro SD Card should get about 21-25 days of non-stop recording. A 256GB would get get about double that amount, around 42-45 days. The reason for the gap depends on the quality of video your saving. If you went down to 720p it would save even more. So thats why I gave those kind of numbers.
I don't have a doorbell in my home, but I want to add one of the Wyze doorbell v2 for my doorbell. my question is what else do I need to install this in my home so I can hear the doorbell ring in the house do I need extra stuff and where do I get a 24-volt transformer ??
BUT, If (like me) you don't have an existing in house doorbell, and this new v2 doorbell don't have a chime like the v1, how, other than my phone will I hear the chime? Wonder if I could use the v1 chime box with the v2 doorbell?
Why doesn’t anyone streaming a Wyze video show how to wire the chime controller? Oh maybe because they don’t work!! Very frustrating and a problem with the Wyze video doorbell 2
You would want the buy the adapter I showed in this video since you dont have a Doorbell, or get a battery powered Smart Video Doorbell from Wyze or Google.
You will either have to connect it to an old mechanical wired doorbell or get a separate Wyze doorbell chime that you plug in and works through wifi with the doorbell if you want a permanent doorbell inside.

I was trying to figure out if that was possible, thank you!!
Have you made the same comment on every Wyze Video Doorbell V2 installation?
My issue with this version is they left accessing the card too available for anyone to steal. It's a no for me.
steal the camera too ...
One thing i like with the sd card in all wyze cameras is when the Wi-Fi goes down the camera is still recording and you cant do that with Ring.

They could take the sd card 😢.

Yeah, you would only be able to get a notification from your phone in that case.
@@BigCVlogscouldn’t you connect it with an echo dot and that would make a notification when someone rings it?
So it works without wiring in the chime ?
How is its video quality compared to v1?

I purchased but it doesn't ring in the inside house. Does your ring on the inside?
