Maybe 4 hours? I'll film the next build from start-to-end so we can find out if his claim is accurate. I can vouch that there was no blueprint when I watched him cut and weld, working like a craftsman. Just a ruler and sharpie and he worked really fast. Noted the side tables were pre built and he had numerous in stock. Probably the wheel also.
There is a burn in and seasoning process you must conduct before cooking. We run it hot and spray it liberally with canola oil from Walmart. A pit needs to be seasoned before using
I just retired after 30 years building data centers so I love doing more BBQ adventures to be a film maker instead of a one trick pony just showing my recipes and teachjng how to cook in my past 500 videos. Filming 25 year old Goldees BBQ pitmasters and 85 year old Snows BBQ Pitmasters, doing collabs, being a armadillo judge, seeing how BBQ is cooked around the country and world is fascinating. I'm having more fun than the 50 brisket videos I've done. I do have 50 more brisket video tests coming but I'm time sharing my retirement years for travel and adventures outside my kitchen! Please join me if you like! 👍

@@SlapYoDaddyBBQ Just found this. I am mocking up a Santa Maria that will be mounted on old cast iron freight cart wheels. This was very helpful. Simple but very effective design.
That’s not a pit it’s a work of art lol! What a craftsman.
I'll be filming more of Jas building pits as I find it fascinating how he does it free hand without any blueprints!
Thanks for sharing. Jas is an amazing craftsman and metal artist.
Agree. No blueprint! The design and specs come from his head! 🙄😉😁
@@SlapYoDaddyBBQ The man is a genius.
Impressive! Thanks for sharing Jas's incredible craftsmanship. 👍
I will film more of what Jas makes as I find it fascinating how he builds them from the blueprint in his head
Pretty impressive grill. I like it. Jas looks like Charles Bronson. Cheers, Harry! ✌️
LOL! I'll tell Jas you said so!
Cool video. Jas has got his technique set to be able to build that fast!
4 hours start to end
I can smell the red oak burning already.
Great wood to use for tri tip!
Even the display model is sold before its built, no discounts🤣
Can't keep in stock!
Love to see more on this, thanks Harry
Will film more of what other pits Jas builds as I find it very interesting
So ready to order one..ready to cook already..
It's so good!
Hi Harry another great 👍 video thanks 😊
Thanks Gary!
He does nice work. Thanks for sharing Harry. I think of you often and hope to see you at a comp in the future. Brandon
Cheers Brandon!
Would be interested on how they cook on those. What they are looking for in their coal bed, distance from heat, when to raise or lower, etc.
Yes, you read my mind. Video on How To Cook on Jas Torres pit coming next 🤪 👀 😋
Awesome stuff Harry :). Keep up the rest material bud 😊
I'll film more of Jas pit making as I fascinated how he does it from his head with just a ruler and sharpie!
Nice job :-)
Thanks Ruairi! Thanks for stopping by
Hi sir, what gauge is the square metal
Please email Jas at Patty's store link in Description
Nice work! I can assure you he doesn't build that entire thing in 3 hours. I'm a welder I can relate.

True, that's what I was saying too much cutting, welding, squaring, welding, and grinding
Doesn't painting the inside of the grill seem not a good idea? I mean the paint will burn off and smoke the food.

How can I get one sent across the country?
Just call Jas or Patty on how to ship to you. Link in Description
@@SlapYoDaddyBBQ I don’t see any links in the description for their site
@@dailytimes6787 Best to call Patty to find out if she has inventory for Jas' pits
Been around for a long time it might be me but it feels like your channel has changed from teaching to promoting other people or advertising
