After exploring Chiang Mai, we took a green bus that we booked on 12go.com towards Chiang Rai where we only had 24 hours to explore this town before heading to our next country.
To make traveling a little easier, we decided to rent a scooter to explore Chiang Rai and see a few of the best attractions. Our first stop was the White Temple, known as Wat Rong Khun. This has to be one of the best temples we have ever seen. Wat Rong Khun, better known as the White Temple, is a Buddhist temple and one of the most recognizable temples in Pa O Don Chai, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. The temple was designed by an artist as was funded by himself too.
We then headed to a Wat Huay Pla Kang: Goddess of Mercy in Chiang Rai.
This is actually a chinese godess statue but you can actually go to the top of this statue that stands almost 70m high and see Chiang Rai Province from above.
Honestly such an incredible day!

What a pair of amazing places to visit. The amount of decoration is incredible but because it's all white it doesn't overwhelm like some of the multicoloured temples can.

Leanne is obsessed with Mango sticky rice pudding 🤣 We have a slightly different type of Mango dish...very thin roti (essentially one side of the roti when it fluffs up) with Mango puree. Really easy to make and amazing in summer.

You guys missed free vegan porridge at Chinese Temple (Wat Huai Pla Kang). Normally, giving them donation as you like. The fresh coffee there ain't bad too for 20 THB. I like the way the temple offer local people free medical service (The big building at the temple entrance). Hope both of you had a good time in Chiang Rai.

I, myself used to visit Wat Rongkun only once many years ago. There were a lot of Chinese tourists there. The builder the temple, Ajarn Chalermchai doesn't like the tourists from China.They often do dirt in toilets of the temple.
