As always, thanks for the upload. Didn't know the 241 Street-bound program no longer works properly. That seems like a running theme these days. With all the different voices at each station, I feel like I'm back in the early 2000s with Kleiner, Ettiger and Thompson announcing each station. At some point, I wonder when they'll bite the bullet and have Velina Mitchell just re-record all of the A-Division announcements. It's too bad that test from 2015 with the Cowdery announcements only replaced the recordings at select stops and not all of them, or that would be a quick way to replace them and restore some sort of consistency to the announcements. At any rate, they're going to have to something about the announcement lengths again as they're getting out of hand. It used to just be the excessive announcement at 59 Street that was an outlier, but with the accessibility announcement and the transfer switch, a lot of the other stations have gotten longer length announcements now too. Perhaps they should have the transfers and ADA accessibility play after the train leaves the previous station and at arrival, announce the station and remind riders to "watch the gap" and whatever other PSA they want to tack on.
I don't think they had Charlie Pellett on call when they recorded the OMNY announcement. I guess they didn't want to record the actual transfer list for each line that could hit that station. Unfortunate as it sounds very sloppy.
@@lance2290 Mitchell recorded the OMNY transfer at the now discontinued Inwood to 1 train free transfer. That’s why both permanent free transfers, at Lex59-63 and Livonia/Junius is suddenly cut off by Mitchell when we get to the OMNY part.
