Totally agree. It's like a getting a free concert every Sunday. Every musician knows how much time and effort goes into preparing these songs. So it's only fair that folks get paid.

In any other setting, I completely agree. There is no doubt that this level of skill and musicianship is worth paying for. However, we should remember that this is their service to God and if they do it with the right heart, he will surely reward them more than anyone else ever could. So I'm not saying musicians should never be paid in church, but it shouldn't be their primary motivation - they should play where God places them even if they are not paid.

@@fj3571 yeah I somewhat agree but churches abuse that same thinking and pressure good hearted musicians into gives their talents for free for hours and a ton of responsibilities.
