Whether you’re trying to be a legendary hero, a top-notch thief, or a powerful criminal, you’re going to need some extra brain power if you want to make it far. In Dreamworks’ latest film, “Puss in Boots - The Last Wish”, we see several characters make some pretty clever moves, allowing them to briefly gain the upper hand. Spoilers: Actually on the Wolf, he did have 1 dumb moment: he toyed with his hunt of Puss in Boot's last life. He even called himself out in Spanish for doing so during their last on screen battle when Puss finally realized what life meant
That's not necessarily a dumb moment, but rather Death fully realizing that Puss in Boots is no longer taking his life for granted. If anything, I'd actually credit Death with intelligent points for easily dissecting Puss' character.

@@Shidyk, Death is kinda similar to Puss in the way that he's a thrill seeker. He likes the thrill of a hunt a little bit too much.
Plus, seeing how reckless Puss was with his other 8 lives and that he still wanted to continue after knowing that he's down to the last one, Death probably reasonably assume that Puss will not change. And he wouldn't if not him bonding with others. So, that also probably reassured Death that it would be fine to play with Puss a little more.
In conclusion, I would say that it was a mistake, but it wasn't that much of dumb moment.
Also, Perro isn't dumb, just naive, due to his history. He's emotionally intelligent, though.

I personally think death should’ve won the second or first place for brains
1. He has no physical limitations
2. He uses his skills incredibly well
3.he found boots in such little time in the chase meaning he is a good finder
4.he is immortal he most likely has the most wisdom of all of the characters
I actually think Puss In Boots is the brains of the Shrek franchise. He's cunning, street smart, is very aware of his surroundings like Donkey, and has alot of wisdom from over the years of his 9 lives. Also he has plenty of common sense, but can still make some mistakes from time to time.🧠🧡🐈👢🗡😼
Puss is street smart, but not intelligent in the sense that he possesses a lot of academic knowledge. The only character in the franchise that has displayed such qualities is Humpty Dumpty.

I would say that Death is nr. 1, since the guy is nigh-omniscient, knowing about all of Puss' past deaths, even if he wasn't materialised physically. He is also, you know, immortal, so he probably beats everyone else combined a thouand times over in terms of experience.
Despite you claiming he’s infinitely experienced, he still has a big problem with playing with his food, generally putting him near the start of the Dunning-Krueger effect, implying he has much to learn.
TL;DR, Death is probably very inexperienced compared to other deities.
@@chazzerine7650 while you are right that he does play with his food a bit too much, the main issue with your statement is that he isn't a deity, he is the literal manifestation of death, and yes there is a difference. This means that he is incomprehensibly ancient, since he is, at the minimum, as old as when the very first thing died, or possibly older.

Feel like Puss should get the Gold. For being able to use his sword skills against Death in their final fight. And keep in mind. puss was in retirement for a while, and didn’t have any time to brush up on his skills. So the fact that he fought Death and even knock him on his knees shows that he’s smart enough to remember his sword skills and even combine them with his little dagger when he’s never dual weld before.
Though I think if he didn't do it intentionally, Jack was really stupid for thinking that his few bakers would carry that entire carriage before they all died

I have to say that I think that Big Jack Horner should also lose a few Smart points when the Map was destroyed and the Star was breaking apart, unlike Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears who all fled the Star when it was breaking apart., Jack stayed on it trying to piece the map together. Even if he could piece the Map back together, it doesn’t seem likely that he would be able to make his wish in time before the star breaks apart and takes him down with it.
Big Jack Horner also fell for the Dog’s trap to distract him. Sure it didn’t cause him to turn a new leaf, but it did distract him for afew seconds, a few seconds but enough for Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws to tear the map to pieces. He had victory in his grasp but his hesitation to make it cost him big.
Still Big Jack Horner has to be high when it came to intelligence, just not as high as Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, or Goldilocks I feel. Being greedy for power and desperate to try to get your wish granted when the star was being destroyed was kind of stupid and it cost Jack his life in the end.
That was more of selfishness and greed more than dumb
@@Nabnab_TheTwistedOne that still doesn’t change the fact that after the map was destroyed the star was breaking apart and Jack was still desperate to get his wish, that he couldn’t see that the star was collapsing. It still ended up being a dumb thing to do because with the map gone and the star disintegrating, his desperate ness, selfishness and greed still caused him to die by being on the star when it was destroyed.

I think the Serpent Sisters should be placed separately. Jo seems to be the dumb one while Jan seems to be smarter. For example, Jo mocked Horner for his nursery rhyme when he was a kid which caused him to get mad, while Jan can be seen in the background trying to warn her sisters. Jan also asked Horner “you promised us our weight in gold” while Jo just immediately touched the golden hand without a second thought. So for those reasons, I think they should’ve been placed separately.

I think that Death should at least be above Puss, he clearly is few steps beyond him, always finding him, and outsmarting him. I could even say that Death is arguably smarter than Kitty.

@@zephyr9852 Technically, I think he's brilliant because he made Puss turn against his friends at ALL times, targeting him alone and covering up his tracks while Puss runs scared, which is what Death wants. He wants him to separate from his friends, thats why he scared him in the Cave of Lost Souls, so he would run as if he was trying to run from Kitty to get the wish for himself.
My favorite character from Puss in Boots 2 is Puss in Boots.

Let's be honest, Perro is WAYYYYY smarter than we all think because.. 1: he instantly knew how to work the wagon when they were being chased by Jack and his guards. 2: he was the only one who knew how to get passed the pocket of posses. 3: he managed to distract jack when he was about to get his wish. so that's why i think Perro is smarter then he says in this vid, but again it's opinion not ours.

Because Death isn't any one person or figure, Death is a force of nature. The wolf is just the avatar that Death chose to use in order to attempt to murder Puss, thus the wolf isn't actually a mortal being. We also see that Death can pass through the barrier of the Wishing Star unharmed, further solidifying the fact that Death is supernatural and cannot be affected by the Dark Forest.

The Bakers' Dozen should be considered dumbasses. Probably the biggest ones in the whole movie.
I also wouldn't rank Jack above Goldi: he's a nepo baby whose only skill seems to be knowing when to use what magic device.
Hell, the fact that he told the Serpent sisters about the nature of the map shows his lack of ability to think things through: most mercenaries would simply keep that map to themselves after stealing it if they knew what it actually was. He does know how to pick the dumbest henchmen though.

Death was actually a lot smarter than you think. With the reckless way Puss in Boots lived, he would've been dead in no time if Death hadn't shown up to put the fear of death into him. Death had to have known that, so why jeopardize that by going after him early? Because it wasn't Puss that he wanted. It was Big Jack Horner. Death was sick of Jack literally getting away with murder, so he used Puss to take him out. He was never out to kill Puss in Boots, he was just manipulating him into doing what he wanted. Everything that happened in the movie went exactly according to Death's plans, and not even the audience realized it.

I had Mama Luna as the most dumb now since. She does not notice things like. Not realizing puss is not a ordinary cat, failing to realize that Perrito is actually a dog who is disguise as a cat, being a terrible liar to the bear family saying that there no cats in her house and believes that her cats can sing better than papa bear.

I think the only tweaks I’d make is I’d put Peirro in the middle section as I don’t think he’s dumb just naive which I think his emotional smarts out weigh, and I’d swap Puss and death around.

I know I'm late lol even if I'm coming a month later I should give my pov and I think that the 1st place should've gone to death ! And here are the results I gave to proof it
Since death is immortal , he has the best and longest experience in the world so he earns the logic and the knowledge , also since his job is to kill , he probably has been in hard situation lot of times so he obviously has different plans for every single situation , and can easily deal with every way of thinking so he can read everyone's minds and plans just a few seconds after meeting them , also since he killed ♾️ ppl he's obviously analysing every single detail while doing his job , + he had ♾️ of time to earn all this IQ and IQ skills and he still has ♾️ time to learn more and more since he's the death straight up so means immortal and life taker .
