First of all I Apologize for my english. It's so easy, simplistic, to say ... cowboy bebop is the best "anime" ever, with the best soundtrack ever ( it's the Truth 😉😁). But what has always "shocked" me is how deep are the comments / thoughts of the fans .... but above all, how good, innovative, brilliant are the bands, the artists who cover the wonderful songs of Cowboy bebop OST! Greetings from Italy!!

This is the mellow version I'd listen to before bed to mellow out whereas the original is the version I'd listen to to get up for work. Love how you guys really made it your own, while keeping it so familiar.

honestly never imagined this song as sort a smoother jazz kind of deal like this. To me it was always big band or bust, but i'll admit this arrangement is incredibly well done. Props to you guys

I do wish this said “instrumental” cover because waiting for the, admittedly few, lyrics was like waiting for a sneeze that never came. But otherwise this is a gorgeous cover of one of my favorite songs.

This is an interesting rendition. Tank is already a jazz type song, so playing it in a jazz rythm with instruments not typically associated with jazz is a really interesting take on it.
I love the softer flute sound. Mixed with the conga percussions it definitely gave this that calypso sound.

The original song is a masterpiece by itself yet you still managed to make it even better. Love this.

I love this!!! It's not an exact cover of the og song, but rather a new atmosphere, and that's what Bebop is supposed to be. My favorite alternative version of the song
Very amazing work, as always. Very impressive editing, instrument and arrangement choices and talented musicians.
However, what I think that this piece originally means is a kind of "IN YOUR FACE" sensation, a real Jazz scream, order through chaos and such. Something that wasn't in this arrangement at all. Louder trumpets would have brought this sensation to life, in a way, even with the more tranquil-based orientation you followed.
Critics being made, it was really brilliant, thank you for that.
Also, the tempo seems much more Samba-oriented during the solos. Pretty delicate as well.
I think that was the point, a new take of a music, that is what they do. if it was too similar to the original you might as well just... well... listen to the original

The original is bebop jazz, which is exactly as you described as "in your face" with loud brass sections
This cover is more of a Bossa Nova twist, with a bit more freeform to it. Still an excellent cover.

The song, written by Yoko Kanno and performed by Seatbelts, has an extensive alto saxophone solo played by Masato Honda, as well as a fill part at the end. The song is a big band jazz piece in a Latin infused hard bop style with a rhythm section that combines a double bass and bongo drums.
"Tank!" is primarily an instrumental piece, though it does feature some spoken male vocals (provided by long-time collaborator with Kanno, Tim Jensen) in the introductory portion of the song, thematically jazz in style. The vocal portion provides a lead-in to the instrumental portion, and its final lyrics, "I think it's time to blow this scene. Get everybody and the stuff together. Ok, three, two, one let's jam," signal the beginning bursts of the majority, purely instrumental end of the song.
It has been featured on the soundtracks to the series and as the original opening theme it is somewhat iconic, one of several popular pieces which are still closely associated with the Bebop series. It has also been occasionally used as background music for some international commercials, such as a preview for My Own Worst Enemy.
