Badass actor reading badass words, just doesn't get a whole lot better...
This is the best history lesson any of us have ever gotten. Good lord, I love his voice. He could read the phone book to me and I'd love it.

What I wouldn't give to hear him read Shakespeare!
I could listen to him every day. Ech.. His voice,it's perfection!
We NEED more and more LEADERS speaking such inspirations, for the People are in great NEED of THESE to act in favor of their, their families', their communities' and their Nation's BEST interests!
That's a great idea. He's got an excellent voice for recitation. We'll keep it in mind!
"I know not what course others will take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death."
I LOVE HIS VOICE!!
i love how he says "begun"
Norman is the only reason why I remember this speech
I'm glad to have finally heard more of this beautiful speech. Norman Reedus read it perfectly. I could listen to him speak all day, every day.Thank You!
That voice...
Norman's voice is like nothing on this earth. It can be sweet and soft, like in this video. It can be gritty and harsh like Daryl. His voice carries so much emotion and feeling in everything he does. He is truly an amazing actor and person who deserves more acknowledgment and attention from the whole world.
Who would dislike this? A stirring rendition of our history!
He has a very unusual voice that is very pleasant to listen to. It's very mellow and soft, but he can bend it to be powerful without being overly loud, he puts meaning and depth behind every word, he puts emotion into his deliverance and it makes one take notice to what he is saying and want to feel the same way he is feeling about what he is saying.
Very nicely done, Mr. Reedus, brilliantly done, I might say! *applauds*
So very moving.. Love this..
THIS IS AWESOME!!! I have to do an assignment over "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" for a summer assignment!! And Norman is by far my favorite person on this planet! He's just so...... Ugh! Why can't I have him?!?
I literally just downloaded this onto my ipod so I can listen to his voice omf
Thank you for posting this!
I love this man with boy's charm! I love his voice, his eyes,oh dear Norman
Excuse me while I effing MELT.
awesome.
Patrick Henry was the man. Glad people like Mr Reedus are reminding people what went down so we could be free and independent.
Very nicely done. We need more of these videos. Same Norman Reedus. Same American Revolutionary War.
Keep up the good work.
Brian, TNAM
You're right - he would do an excellent Seuss reading!
What a beautiful rendition of this speech. I am currently putting together a training for tutors on the components of reading. One of the "Big 5" is fluency. Actors are the perfect source of reading fluency. This actor shows how insanely beautiful the spoken word can become when read fluently.
I aint gay or anything but his voice is just perfect to be complete honest like I am starting to become an actor myself and I really want to act with Norman. Hes such a great actor if it weren't for The Walking Dead I would have never known who he was. It would actually just be an honor to just be a co-actor with Norman. His movie Hello Herman was probably the most inspirational movies hes ever done. Hes such a great person in real life. He gives back to his fans that's makes him such an amazing person. Again I aint gay hes just an awesome actor who should have a lot more credit then hes getting.
if it weren't for The Walking Dead I would have never known who he was
I have never seen Boondock Saints until after I saw The Walking Dead. I am still a fan of Norman no matter.
Norman Reedus is awesome. Check out A Crime, Six Ways to Sunday, or Deuces Wild. He has that certain something about his acting that engages you. Another great actor is William Fichtner. That dude is phenomenal. To the T grade A. Good luck with your goal in acting. Reply back if you'd like to know of his credits in the industry. \m/
+kornnutt4eva Saw all of his movies already

Six Ways To Sunday is one of my favorite movies. I also love Tough Luck, Floating, and Dark Harbor. Norman Reedus is a great actor.
If he taught my history classes I would actually learn something ;)
OMG If I had him for a history teacher I would DEF had been in every class !!!
i like it...i like his voice..i could listen to him for years..thanks for posting this..its really great and interesting..
This inspires me so much.
His presence and voice leave me...breathless!!
I likes this interpretation. The notion that PH yelled the whole way through is far from indisputable fact. Mr McManus showed quiet strength. Quiet, unwavering strength strikes fear in tyrants more than exclamation ever could dream of.
Different deliveries in different environments and situations:
This reading is up-close and personal: one-on-one.
Patrick Henry was addressing a large group in a large room.
This, now, is a historical reading of events ~240 years ago;
the mood was certainly much different on the day PH spoke.
I loved history in high school.....Now I love it all over again! He read it so amazing and I just adore him. He is incredible.

I have this huge smile on my face while hearing him speak. His voice gives me tingles all over! I also recited this speech when i was in high school but it never affected me like this. I am wondering why he did this speech? It was very unusual i was really surprised. I was bewitched, bewildered and bothered by his voice! LOL!
