I really enjoyed this sermon. I am however a little perplexed that you would quote J Vernon McGee considering that he was a rabid dispensationalist and he was a promoter of the Scofield Reference Bible. He said that before a good preacher friend of his gave him a Scofield Bible he couldn't understand Bible prophecy because it was like a puzzle and it helped him to put all the pieces together. I agree with you also when it comes to the late Peter Ruckman.I bought a booklet from Kent Hovind entitled Why I'm not a Seventh Day Adventist by Peter Ruckman.I bought it for a friend of mine whose been involved with the SDA for a while. I read it and I found his style to be caustic, bombastic and it misrepresented the SDA view on the Millennium which is by the way the only area besides the rapture where I find myself in agreement with them. They way I look at it is that even a broken clock is right twice a day. As for Ellen G White being a prophetess,,,,that's where I strongly disagree with them and anything that she had to say. I don't believe that she was any more of a prophetess than Joseph Smith was a prophet.Anyhow,,I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your videos especially in regards to the ones about C.I.Scofield.
I don't remember what I actually said about McGee in this message but in my early Christian walk I loved listening to McGee, and heard him every day for a few years -- and so am very well aware of his promotion of Scofield. I'm sure that I pointed out in this message that McGee was ver wrong in that area of doctrine...
Adam seem to have been a vegetarian Noah after the flood could eat any animal Moses law later said eat kosher. Peter could eat anything God said was clean. Isiah- says swords into plowshares Joel- says plowshares into swords Jesus told the rich young ruler to keep the commandments to have eternal life James2: 24 Ye see then how that BY WORKS a man is justified, and NOT by faith only Eph. 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is THE GIFT OF GOD: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Jesus told the twelve John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. Can we forgive sins? Matt. 5: 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Rom. 6: 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace Tithing ? Mal. 3: 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 2 Cor. 9: 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; NOT grudgingly, or OF NECESSITY: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ENDURE TO THE END ? Matt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Very confusing. God character never changes but it seems he deals with man in different ways at different times. Always ask Who is speaking? Who is the intended audience? What is the timeframe or setting ? Dispensational’s eat bacon, don’t offer animal sacrifices, don’t keep the sabbath and give cheerfully not as others who say the whole Bible is to them. Sounds like you are a red letter believer. And go by the red letter in the four gospels The First Church of The One Eyed Lefties.
God bless you Pastor for standing for the TRUTH. Ruckman was an unsaved devil in my opinion. He has such an influence on the ignorant drone like, backwards so called Christians here in east Tennessee it is unbelievable. God Speed
% *God says you will be saved by faith, fullstop! Abraham was saved by faith. Yet Scofield & kie say regarding saving grace: "...The point of testing is no longer legal obedience as the condition of salvation, but acceptance or rejection of Christ..." **_works salvation by keeping the law!_** [notes next to John 1:17, Scofield 1917] - i.e. God changes... NOT MY GOD!*
I use the Scofield as a reference bible. The notes are nice but not something I consider to be anything more than another man's opinion. Why would any one be concerned with the nuances. Jesus is in my heart and his love blesses me.
You are a fool sir if you think Scofield's notes are "nice" - they are an attack on the Gospel and on the mission, teachings and ministry of the Lord Jesus , and are designed with the sole agenda of causing Christians to support the goals of Talmudic Judaism and racist Zionism - which is EXACTLY what the result has been for the last century.
Independence Baptist Church amen scofield and darby were freemasons who are satanic by nature to promote the hatred of GOD's law and deny the words of christ.
Dave Johnsin which is why Charles Taze Russell another Mason picked up this false gospel and spun a false church out of it. Jehovah's witnesses are based off the false prophecy of dispensationalism.
specifically how is it that you come to the conclusion that "the way of cain" is trying to come to God thru works? where does it say in scripture that able came by faith? what scriptures verify the things being preached?i believe they BOTH did works... Able brought his best because he Feared God... And cain brought crappy works because he did not fear God....
Perhaps you should listen to the message again sir. Take notes and pause the video to take notes if we go too fast for you. The answer is in Hebrews 11:1-4: 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
ok.... his (ables)righteous works were accounted as faith.... i'll buy that. but what about the 1st question... can you back "the way of cain" as having something to do with works not faith in scripture?

david crane salvation has always been by faith, as Paul explains in Galatians. Christ fulfilled the covenant with Abraham.
