- A simple and expensive gold effect in Adobe Illustrator. Just type the text and the effect will be applied.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to work with "Appearance Panel". Try to use effects: "Gaussian Blur", "Inner Glow" and "Chrome". And in just a few minutes, black text will turn into a shiny golden effect.
Font used in the tutorial: www.fontsquirr...
You can download the final result here:

Something does not work? Is the effect not working properly?
I will try to answer your questions in the comments.

Video is ok. But it will be better if the sound is lower. Thanks for the video.

Speaking the steps are helpful vs reading.
Unfortunately my English is not good enough to voice the video(

Por favor. Me alegra que te haya gustado :)
@@rwgusev éxito!!!
Hi the title said " Editable Text Effect " i waited for you to change it tho 😅, so if my understanding is correct, if i change the word GOLD to COIN will I get the same effects? or do I need to redo the steps again? Thank you in advance!
Yes that's right! Just type the word and the effect is applied🙂
great buddy....i liked your way of teaching the things n i think your making a very very very great work plz never stop doing it❤
Thanks for the warm feedback))) I will create new tutorials.
First apply practically than praise him
Спасибо за урок😊
Пожалуйста:)
nice effect ,could i use this effect for my client project?
Thank you) yes you can use it :)
How do I maintain the gold shine quality when making the text smaller?
Looks dull and not as shiny when sized smaller. The effects don't look as good as it does bigger. Is there a solution? Thanks!!
Unfortunately, not all effects in Adobe Illustrator can be scaled correctly, even if "Scale Strokes & Effects" is checked in the Transform panel.
There are several solutions to this problem:
1. Print the text of the desired size and apply the effect afterwards
2. Create a bitmap PNG file from the effect and then it can be moved and scaled.
Thanks alot Bro
You are welcome:)
I dont know if checking the box that indicates this in preferences "dibujo y edicion en tiempo real" had to do anything i was able to do it
Can you please help me? I've tried this tutorial a million times and do not get the effect you use. I need it to be in CMYK because it's for a print ad.
You won't get such a bright and rich effect in CMYK. At the moment I don't know how to keep the same colors when converting to CMYK🙃
does having a background color may affect your text?
In this case, no. The background color can be any.
I dont have font, but I have vector shape of font will this work on that vector ?
Yes, it will work with a vector shape too🙂
❤❤❤
Thank you:)
can you guess the reason why if i am following closely your directions my effect looks opaque not golden?
Try to repeat the steps again. Use the artboard dimensions as in the video and use a font for this effect: Coiny or Teaspon. You can also send me the .ai file, for example, in telegram, my nickname is @rwgusev. I'll try to help.
thank you very much finally i got the desired effect i had to actualize my drivers@@rwgusev
Change document colour mode from CMYK to RGB
Go to
File > Document Colour Mode > Select RGB
+ 1 inscrita!! Amei!!
¡Gracias, un placer conocerte!
Font name kaya hai dekh nhi Raha hai
for a golden effect, I recommend using these fonts:
www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/teaspoon
www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/coiny
is this adobe ilustrator 2023 version?
Yes, Adobe Illustrator 2023
@@rwgusev that's why mine is lacking some tools, thank you
@@briliansaaura1641 What tools are missing?
To add a tool, click the three dots in the toolbar (Edit Toolbar). If the desired window is missing, then it can be opened through the "Window" menu.
@@rwgusev yes thank you, but the results is different, even though i do the same step
👍👍👍👍
Thank you🙏
How can I do this in RED?
Change the yellow fill in the Appearance panel to red. Here's an example of how I turned gold text into pink.

Thank you, I'll give it a shot.

don't work
What exactly doesn't work? In the description there is a link to a file with a text effect. I checked, the text effect works.
Thousands of step not easy to remeber
You don't have to memorize it, it's a creative process😎
There are a total of 6 fills in the Appearance panel. I usually have about 20 fills or stroke in my text effects.
@@rwgusev ok sir
😅You did things complicated unnecessarily...do practice at home not on online class😅
How can this be simplified? This is one of the simplest effects and has the most sales on Adobe Stock. The rest of the effects that I sell on microstocks are much more complex and have more layers in the Appearance panel.
This don’t even help tf y’all thanking him for
You couldn’t follow doesn’t mean it didn’t help.
Not helpful
@@corneliusmotsisi4750 I'm very sorry to hear that(((
It should be fine, this is one of my best-selling effects on Adobe Stock.
I don't recommend this video, very long process and time waste. We could find better videos and in easy way.
This method is pretty good. There are 6 fills in total in the Appearance panel. And this is enough to achieve a realistic effect. This vector effect can be applied to any text or font.
the tutorial is not practical at all I do not recommend it
This is the best selling effect on Adobe Stock. Many people asked to create a tutorial on how to create this effect, and I did it...
