I stand by Darklina. He made do much sense with her. He was a little overwhelmed with his desire to ensure a safe haven for Grisha, but Alina could have helped reign him in. After she showed her strength at the end of season 1, he knew he had to fall back and be with her for real. Ugh. Can't wait to see what happens next. I'll be reading books 2 and 3 this summer.

The fact that the Darkling's death is less impactful in terms of the Darklina ending is because, I hope, it's not the end for them. Alina literally has shadow powers now from using the Merzost, literally echoing the fact that without the Darkling she has no balance. So I hope that in the future (if the series is renewed) that they will have scenes together again and that Alina will in fact attend her second in quotes "death" and that, it will be a goodbye poignant between the two, worthy of the book. Because, impossible to convince me that their story is definitely over after this fucking finale. I loved seeing Alina love what she did with the shadow cut. Otherwise, as usual, your video is a masterpiece! 🤩

I am in tears since watching the Ending yesterday 🥲 It's like Reylo all over again with just the difference that Rey had compassion for Ben at least and he got a few moments of redemption ❤ But truth to be told, no matter what the Darkling did, I always still loved him as a character😍 Alina gave everyone a second chance except him 😢 I know why, but it still hurts. I won't be able to get over this anytime soon.

It actually broke my heart. Oh and let's not talk about the "my little saint" at the end... in the book alina always has feelings for darkling, complex one. in the show ? not sure. one time she’s quickly over mal who is her long time lover to run into and even initiate kissing with darkling, the other time she’s cold to him… but in the last scene she almost shed a tear when darkling died ? does she try to bury her feeling/passion for darkling desperately ? i am confused. but every time they’re together it’s either complete hate or suppressed passion (tension) 🤷🏻♀️
Malina shouldn't have been in the first place, and it should've been the other way around because he's trash, their "relationship" is co-dependency. Alexander isn't really dead, come on, and the reason why is exactly because of what you stated, they need each other.

I want a tragic romance: -Alina gets slowly more dark, by being faced with difficult choices -Darkling gets resurrected, and becomes slowly more good, from his love for Alina (but she keeps pushing him away) -season 3 ends with the Darkling sacrificing himself to save Alina and the world -she admits she loves him, he dies at peace in her arms - the end. Let's all admit this is the best poetic ending, and works best with the plot so far 💘

It’s so perfect omg! Still not sure how I feel about all the rewriting in s2, but that ending scene…perfection. Although it kinda felt like they’ve made the Darkling more of a villain than he seemed in the books. I mean Alina still had some kind of affection to him in the books but there she’s just “let’s kill that bitch” 😂 But his obsession with her defiantly delivered
I think I enjoyed this 20 times more than the books. They made the characters actually seem real and not flat. And since the shadow and bone series only follows Alina’s pov, a lot of characters felt shallow in the books. Also the ending was absolutely shit in the book. This change in adaptation was perfect and so much better than the books

I have never read the books, i have seen the show and i love it. Im so freakint intrigued with season two ending. I just don’t know where is it going to go, why Alina could summon darkness? It is Aleksander really dead? SO MANY QUESTIONS, i need for interactions between them, they are so freaking interesting to me
man that was a LOOP with the shadow summoning i am still not over it omg. tbh, the bee is a clue from the books that he'll 98% be resurrected by some rose-loving saint, BUT! im ngl the idea of him coming back and alina as a shadow summoner/seemingly about to have a new target on her despite her 'good intentions' IS INCREDIBLY interesting 👀

It’s so perfect omg! Still not sure how I feel about all the rewriting in s2, but that ending scene…perfection. Although it kinda felt like they’ve made the Darkling more of a villain than he seemed in the books. I mean Alina still had some kind of affection to him in the books but there she’s just “let’s kill that bitch” 😂 But his obsession with her defiantly delivered
I think I enjoyed this 20 times more than the books. They made the characters actually seem real and not flat. And since the shadow and bone series only follows Alina’s pov, a lot of characters felt shallow in the books. Also the ending was absolutely shit in the book. This change in adaptation was perfect and so much better than the books
@@hermionetwo2739 oh yeah the ending had me screaming! The original Malina ending was so stupid, this one is way better. Didn’t quite get the whole Inej goin off with Mal,though. But I’m sure she’ll return to Kaz and the Crows at some point. Now we wait to see the how they adapt the first book of the crows and the king of scars in the next season (hopefully)

Why did the showrunners/writers make Darklina so perfect, with so much positive potential for both of them, only to kill the one half off?? I hope they veer from the books and bring Aleksander back to help Alina now that she's possessed by the black smoke creatures who want to control her. OTHERWISE the show is over.
