For Man Thing Steve Gerber is easily one of the greatest writers whoever worked for Marvel. His runs dwell into the existential tragedies and pain of human existence and for those no one even has game such as his. His life was a tragic as what his pen weeped R.I.P. Steve .

Great episode. I'm sure you have it but it must have been released after this video. A Haunted Omnibus that has the full Living Mummy run. The only Marvel monster not collected in Omnibus yet is Frankenstein's monster. - it's not even a hardback! The Werewolf by Night is famous for the art by Mike Ploog who did the art in one of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing stories you loved when you did the review of the Absolute Swamp Thing - the issue where the aliens are looking for a new lady (i.e., planet). The Dracula stories are famous for Gene Colan's amazing art. Finally, Man-Thing actually preceded Swamp Thing by a few weeks but the creators (Len Wein who created Swamp Thing for DC and the guy who created Man-Thing for Marvel) were roommates at the time of the monsters' creation. Never got into Howard the Duck myself but I don't consider it a monster book. Agree, Ghost Rider and Hulk wouldn't have fit in with this review. When you said giant size man-thing I nearly fell off the chair!

Those Monster omni's have been sitting on the shelf of my LCS for 3 years. I'm waiting for them to sell at $5 each. Tried to sell me for $20 so far...they look like a brutal read! Just go Zomnibus for $30. Cool vid of oddball Marvel Omnibus.

What got me into Howard the Duck was Chip Zdarsky's run. I bought the first issue as a joke (and that Skottie Young variant) but wow got me hooked. You should give it a chance and read Howard the Duck Vol. 0 then move back to the Omnibus and read the last two Chip volumes. ... The movie is ok, I guess but won't really sell you on it.
