I've actually seen minor11 chords be used in minor blues and minor jazz blues too as a substitute for a dominant chord on the 5th degree or to lead into 2nd degree half diminished chord. It's pretty rare but I've certainly heard and seen this before. For example
    Am- Emin11- Dm- E9
    Am- Emin11- Bm7b5- E7
I think it works due to it causing a sort of mellow tension and desperately wants to move so sort of acts like a more mellow dominant chord.

That's interesting, I'll have to experiment with it! Thanks for the example.

    (1) "This chord goes up to 11."
    (2) I'd like to see what you do with Quartal chords.

😅, I'll add Quartal chords to my to-do list!

Shame that Hook Pad cannot make a better inversion of chords relative to their prior and post chord in the progression. The reason why the dm11 does not sound natural is because Hook Pad does not recognize the next progressive note in the scale as you transition from chord to chord in the diagram. Is there a better software available that can be used to better illustrate the great information of this lesson?

Thanks for watching, appreciate the comment. I'm not aware of similar software that would allow me to present the chord progressions so simply. If anyone has any suggestions, then let me know!

I like to pretend these videos are narrated by Noel Fielding. It's not much of a stretch. ❤️‍🔥
