Just had ours delivered, have to do some work to landscaping first but very excited to get it built and going. I like your idea of just using 6 concrete blocks vs building a paver patio which was my first plan.

Got mine today. 110 feet of wiring needed. Got the 8Kw. Looking forward to workouts inside of it. Thanks man! Your video is what made me decide to get it.

How is it going with the 8Kw? Does it heat to around 180F? Mine is getting delivered in October and am slightly nervous for the winter.

just by looking at the picture of the video i can already see a huge mistake - boards on the right side are upside down, so the water will get inside the wall and it will start to rot quickly

I saw another guy with a barrel sauna who put a few sheets of roofing corrugated sheets on top. It looked really cool and practical

How do these compare to indoor dry saunas? Better value? And how do these barrel saunas hold up over time? I would think summers and winters can really test the integrity of the wood. Is the electrical bill high?

I just like the outdoor sauna experience! The wood did discolor a bit from the weather but still holding strong. I believe you can seal the outside if you don’t want the rustic look. Also all the components of the barrel sauna comes apart so if anything does get damaged it can be replaced fairly easy. Electric bill hasn’t changed at all for me and I use it 6 days a week 20-30 min sessions! Hope this helps!!

Maybe you can use some solar lights if it can handle the temp. Harbor Freight has some simple solar systems that might work for ya!

Awesome videos! What’s the hottest you’ve had it? And was it maxed out? I’m in the northeast so I want to make sure it would work in the winter when it’s like 10 degrees out

Highest I gotten it was 160 so far! IM building my tolerance slowly lol. Giving it a half hour to heat up will get the whole barrel hot! Easy to 180. Only complaint is there are two vents under where the heater is placed air cool are comes through there and hits the feet. Pouring water on the rocks gets the barrel steamy fast as well!

Hmm.. strange. Are you sure that electrician connected it to your panel? Not the neighbor's? ;) may be that's why he charged so much. ;)
