Problem is I can almost never find Nosler ammo and when I do it is insanely expensive. Love the Long Range Accubond just cant find it consistently enough.
I have the same issue. I normally go for the noslers either loaded in federal premium or Winchester though they have them at a way better price point
Meanwhile, I can find those “H” bullets everywhere I look. Come on Nosler. Get some bullets on these shelves so we can get back to business.
@@guns4funfreedomkeeper999just saw accubonds on the shelf for the first time in 4 years. So I bought some, even tho I will have to give hand jobs behind a Wendy's dumpster.

I’ve hunted/shot/loaded Nosler partitions, AB’s, and BT’s for over 35 years. Unfortunately, the last 2-3 years they became so scarce that I incorporated other bullets in my loading. Love Nosler but have been very frustrated due to no bullets available until recently there is hit and miss. Great bullets!
My family has been using Nosler since the 50’s when John and Bob were in Ashland oregon. One of my dads good friend was a gunsmith and friends with John and he reloaded for my dad back in the 50’s and 60’s until I started to in the mid 70’s! Love there bullets but can be a little hard to get unless you reload! My family has taken so much game with them I sometimes feel like I have stock in the company and to top it off I also have Nosler 48 rifles for my boys as well.

I have been a big fan of the Nosler Partition since I was first introduced to them around 1988, my favourite bullet by far!
The Partition was produced in the late 1940s and the first of them are made of a Bronz zink alloy then the front half was turned on a screw lathe.
Today's Partition is junk because the company now designed the bullet to blow off the noise losing most of the bullet's weight.

I love the Accubond Long Range bullet, but I’ve had to move on to other manufacturer’s products because Nosler never has them in stock. Unfortunately when push comes to shove, dependable availability beats performance.
Barnes is as good or better in terminal performance and available all day and easy to get.
I started big game hunting when I could first buy a license at the age of fourteen. I am now 70. I have never had any trouble with any bullet as long as it was considered a big game bullet. In other words I've never hunted big game with match type bullet. I've killed quite a few elk and never had a problem with any bullet unless I missed or I hit a big bone. The worst cartridge I ever used out of all the cartridges I've used was a 7mm mag. When I used it the bullets were not heavy enough for the velocity and the bullets break up if you hit a big bone leaving you with a long trek to try and finish the animal. I assume that has been corrected since then but I don't have a 7mm any longer.
Where are they sending all them bullets?? I sure can’t find them any more. Had to switch over to Barnes based on availability. Love deading stuff with partitions but hesitant to switch after working up new loads
Maybe the perfect lineup in the bullet game. Love the partitions. Interested in trying the Etip
Both my sons are shooting the E-Tip, and we have no complaints so far.
I started running solid copper in my 28 Nosler excellent outcomes. 143 grain for deer and 166gr for elk size.
Biggest problem ive found with solid copper is they have too much penetration a lot of the time and thus you lose a lot of energy that could be better served on the animal. All in all great bullets if penetration is the ultimate need.

@@Randy_Savage_ohyeahactually, it’s not energy that kills the animal, it’s tissue destruction. If a high penetrating bullet that passes completely through the animal has expanded properly, the tissue destruction will occur, and it will kill the animal regardless of whether or not that energy dissipated while still inside the animal. Obviously, if the high velocity projectile passes completely through with out proper expansion, then that’s a different story, but you don’t “lose energy” just because the bullet has passed completely through.
@@Rob-pv4zc I agree that tissue damage is part of what kills particularly vital tissue but I also believe that foot pounds of energy and shock also play a role, and the more you can impart on a animal the better. Why are most critical defense rounds for self/home protection highly expandable with massice hollow points? I would say they have greater stopping power versus a solid bullet that passes through. Bit as you mention proper expansion is critical.
Nosler is a 120 box for 7mm lol!!!!
There are 70 buck a box bullets that do the job on a deer just as well
I like my 165 AccuBonds in my 6.8 Western. But I also love the Berger 170 EOLs. Both do the job but those 170s are devastating.
Totally agree! I have a Christiansen Arms Ridgeline and it likes a tad slower bullet...recently switched to the 168 Berger loaded by Federal beacuse I can never find the 168 Nosler Accubond LR. The Berger shoots great and the terminal performance has been impressive.
I cannot seem to find Accubond for my 300 Win Mag.
E-Tips work FAN FREAKING TASTIC on Alaskan Moose! 30-06 only once have i had to shoot more than one shot and that was my fault.

Does Nosler consider the ballistic tip, frangible? He stated it is more violent, but does it maintain its core?
It does, I have been shooting E-Tips for 8 years now. Haven’t had a single one that didn’t expand like a flower. I use the 150 gr E-tip in both a .30-06 and .308 for deer and elk. I think I’ve killed 3 bulls and 6 bucks, my wife has killed 4 bucks. All with E-tips. Of the two bullets we recovered, all pedals stayed intact and perfectly formed. Haven’t hit anything in the spine or heavy bones yet so I’m not sure if they’ll retain all the pedals after that. But I’m a big fan. All but 2 animals have dropped wheee they’ve stood and those 2 only went 30 yards before they fell over.
@@rowdyhoundsman e-tip and ballistic tip are different bullets.
I believe the ballistic tip is a cup/core bullet, not bonded so in a sense its more frangible similar to Berger bullets.

I have a question for both Randy and the fine folks at Nosler. First off, i love Nosler bullets, and I've had great success hunting with Accubonds. However, I have a friend who is a very experienced hunter. One look at his trophy room is enough to impress most of us. Now, I can forgive him for not liking Nosler bullets, since we are all entitled to our own opinions. However, he insists that the majority of guides he has worked with won't even allow nosler bullets in their camps, due to "poor terminal performance". What would you say to such an individual?
I would book a different outfitter....I bet they won't let you use a 30-06 either

Nosler? WHY have you abandoned the 6.8 SPC cartridge after acquiring their premiere cartridge maker (SSA)? From a customer standpoint, it appears that 6.5 G and .300BO fanbois at the decision making level are trying to kill support for the competitor since your favorite calibers aren't able to out perform it outright.
Love the ballistic tips on whitetail 300 mag to 3006 150s destroy deer love em dont like to doe hunt with em but they will drop some deer and they do come apart it your velocity is still up it will make two exit holes
I've went barnes cause nosler can't keep inventory. I liked nosler, but I'm all barnes now.

Federal TBT bullets are my go to for price and availability. Nosler is awesome though!!!
I used to work in a Sporting goods store in Bend and one of my co-workers Husband works for Nosler, use to tease him when he came in to visit her about how the customers whined about the difficulty in finding Nosler ammo and the ridiculous cost when they do find it, poor guy must of heard that a lot cause he would sigh and shrug saying "I work for Nosler and I can't even find the caliber I need"🙄

Hey, you guys want to explain why you raised prices so much. Even your shooters pro shop seconds have gone up way too much in price. Please don’t say it’s because of Covid. There are a lot of us that have moved on to better and less expensive bullets. I lived 120 miles from Bend and used your bullets for years, but no more. You are not doing us any favors by price gouging your loyal customers.

Ok, so Nosler Partition is a proven bullet, I don't deny that fact, but when John Nosler was unhappy with bullets of that time; Preformance on Moose he shot , with some type of 300 magnum, he Should have just been using the More than good Enough 3006 cal, with Remington Core lokt Bullet; out since 1939 . His over powered Magnum was pushing a cheap cup and core bullet way to fast, resulting in poor results.
My favorite bullet has always bern the Partition. I’ve moved on from em now that they’re $80.00 a box!! 😡

The new designed Partition is junk because the nose blows off of them leaving a small wad cutter shank.
When I needed the most the 338 win mag using 225 grain partitions to work on a Brown bear my client wounded the 338 - 225 grain partitions failed all 5 of them blew the noise blew off and lucky the bear jumped into the river then down to death because being shot 13 time by 2 rifles messed up the bear so badly it couldn't swim.
That was in 2005 on the Alsek River SE Alaska so never again I use any Nosler bullets so now I only shoot Barns TSX -TTSX and Larx bullets that get the job done !
I have shot nosler bullets for years. The covid crap show changed all that. Nosler if available....a huge if.........was ridiculous high priced. So the handloaders that put them on the map were abandoned for profiteering reasons. You can keep them. Hornady and speer never have let me down and stayed available. Still great bullets but wont support companies that left me high and dry. Bye bye nosler. 40 year customer gone forever.

What a line of bull shit that dirt affects the bullets penetration of an animal.
Even a 30-30 win will go through a 5-gallon bucket of mud and a 30-30 will shoot a 150-grain bullet through 1/4 inch steel like it was puddy.
