New Asking Alexandria songs lately remind me of modernized Hair metal and anthemic hard rock melodies... I like it... i love a good groove with agression 👍🤘
First time i heard AA, i really like it, good metalcore with unique electric elements. After this they go a bit lighter, but still okay, now they drop the metal and the unique sound out of their music, and make only pop. Shame this happened to BMTH too, but i guess money is money. Can't even hear the guitars in most parts, what's even the point anymore? They have 2 amazingly talented guitarists who must hate playing the same 2 chords over and over again to not even be heard, the last album was good, it was mature, emotional powerful, this sounds exactly like the violence and the more radio friendly songs off LP5
Christian Lameda omg you’re right. I couldn’t think why it sounded so familiar. It’s like nothing more except without that thing that makes them so good.
I have nothing but love and respect for these guys, and the new music isn't bad in any way, and if they enjoy it and it's making them happy then I'm happy, but it just doesn't make me feel anything, where as the old stuff made me feel sooooo much. Idk man
Its also so annoying how they always "tease" the heaviest parts of the song/album. Like the biggest example is how they teased I Am Iniquity which is from Eve the heaviest on the album. For this they tease the breakdownish part as well. Why try to bring in the fans of heavy stuff, just to disappoint? Even when they teased the violence, the shit looked gory and metal as fuck and the line from the song they kept teasing was remember this is what you asked for. The marketing just confuses me I guess
It’s honestly pretty heavy compared to their last record. I really dig the buildup in this song at the end. The riffs were different and semi heavy. The drums were a little heavier. They are trying to get back on that heavy side of AA everyone loved I feel.
It's a poor attempt at being heavy ruined by the completely lackluster verse (which kills the intro) and the boring chorus. It also feels incomplete, the bridge is completely random. They've lost their spark
I've loved AA ever since I met their music years ago and I still do (even though these last two tracks feel hollow tbt). What I really hate is that they market the heaviest snippets of the tracks to hype them up as if they are to be such and then comes the letdown. They did it with Eve (I Am Inequity teaser) where they took the only 'heavy' song on the album (I would assume they really would have released more like that on the album given the recent demo they released) as their marketing towards an unheavy album 🙁 P.S - Give it a year of milking so they release the 'heavy' demo of this 🙃
Literally every comment be like "it sucks" but the like to dislike ratio speaks for itself. Sure FDTD is still my favourite album by them but I still like the direction they're going. Unlike the vocal minority, I don't lock myself down to one specific genre. Changing and experimenting with new sounds shows maturity as a band. From the ratings, people are digging this track and no close-minded opinion is going to change that. There's plenty of metalcore bands out there that still make great metalcore music and just because one band changes their direction it doesn't mean you have to act entitled because it's not your cup of tea.
I agree. However, I think Danny's raw voice is what drew me to AA (FDTD and the self titled were the first albums I heard) so I think that losing that raw-ness is hard for some people. I still think the music is great, and if the band is happy with their sound I don't think complaining and most likely making them feel awful about the music they produce is the way to go.
To those that want the old AA, I don't say fuck off, but rather appreciate the effort AA has gone through to present us with new music, if you prefer the old stuff, good for you, feel free to replay it as much as you like. I for one will be adding this new music to my existing AA playlist. Expecting a band to make the same old style of music time and time again is just absurd. People evolve, bands evolve. I suggest you do too.
Why are people hating on this song so much, its a good ass song and Danny tore a vocal cord so cut him some slack he still sounds good and they’ve matured as a band so you cant expect every album to sound like stand up and scream
Makes me wonder if some are bots or paid to troll? I try to reply to some that keep spamming hate and it just goes away. You're right tho! Ratio of likes and dislikes prove otherwise
Chris Sykes and what does AA feel like when they haven’t declared themselves to a genre. You’re just bitter they aren’t making the same album over and over
The fans seems to be displeased but as an outsider, I love this song. I love the semi whisper talking, the tone when they sing the lyrics, the lack of rhyming but theres still rhythm, the chorus when he says panic for the 3rd time, the drums and guitar. Its metal enough and rock enough without adding the screaming and other stereotypical aspects of metal music and i really feel like this will not only appeal to a broader audience
I really like this song... if people don’t like it instead of complaining just don’t listen to it.. they are not the same as they were.. people change, people evolve let them do the songs they want and either accept it or leave it

Fiver finger and disturbed have been doing some changes in their songs too but doesn't mean their bad either.

Amo was unique, find another album like it. Mixing riffs, synths, screams, beat boxing, acoustics and a thousand other elements in an album. There are no albums like it. Asking alexandria is releasing generic and poor rock music.
If you're here for the music, scroll up and listen, do you really need toxicity and nostalgia? First time i heard AA, i really like it, good metalcore with unique electric elements. After this they go a bit lighter, but still okay, now they drop the metal and the unique sound out of their music, and make only pop. Shame this happened to BMTH too, but i guess money is money. In case of my soul recovery, i have to listen the Stand up and Scream album now.

i understand it now. the majority of AA's fans in general are much younger than the members of AA. so they dont share AA's maturity. AA are talking about politics in their songs now, and their music reflects their maturity too. but AA's fans can't relate to that. this actually reminds me of my own gripe with Linkin Park. the majority of LP's fanbase started complaining about LP sounding "soft" starting from the third album, i was one of them. they started talking abt politics in their 3rd and 4th album and i didnt like it. but now in my 30s i actually understand why bands abandon their original sound and angsty lyrics. the majority of u AA fans might not understand it now, but u eventually will...

Well...I guess they need to keep the old AA fans around somehow 😂
they do it in purpose, but i don't thnik this is very clever
It’s honestly pretty heavy compared to their last record. I really dig the buildup in this song at the end. The riffs were different and semi heavy. The drums were a little heavier. They are trying to get back on that heavy side of AA everyone loved I feel.
It's not about it being heavy it's about it being good. This isn't good.
It's a poor attempt at being heavy ruined by the completely lackluster verse (which kills the intro) and the boring chorus. It also feels incomplete, the bridge is completely random. They've lost their spark
@@davidshipley4676 and steven lol, move it along, trolls

New Asking, this is the best valentines day in years
I've loved AA ever since I met their music years ago and I still do (even though these last two tracks feel hollow tbt).
What I really hate is that they market the heaviest snippets of the tracks to hype them up as if they are to be such and then comes the letdown.
They did it with Eve (I Am Inequity teaser) where they took the only 'heavy' song on the album (I would assume they really would have released more like that on the album given the recent demo they released) as their marketing towards an unheavy album 🙁
P.S - Give it a year of milking so they release the 'heavy' demo of this 🙃
