@eating sugar no papa I love Skyfall, but Casino Royale is just such a tightly constructed masterpiece. Don't get me wrong, some of my favorite moments are in Skyfall, but as a whole I think Casino Royale is just more consistently phenomenal.
@eating sugar no papa Casino Royale, a screenplay adaptation of the original debut novel of the character James Bond, doesn't feel like Bond... Well, I can see why you associate those things with Bond, but personally I appreciated the character just as much prior to their addition.
James Feguson whatever you think the real James Bond is, it doesn’t exist. You don’t know what it is, no one does. How about you stop criticising people’s opinions with facts that don’t actually exist.
As a Brit myself. I've seen every Bond film probably 2 or 3 times. They were always on ITV/BBC, especially around Christmas. I loved Rodger Moore's bond. Great level of Cheese, but Daniel Craig's blew it out the water with Casino Royale. Now that's my favourite. Hope he goes out on a high!
Hearing Shane talking about Rami Malek being in Mr Robot just makes me long for a reaction series from you guys. Not many people have reacted to Mr Robot and it's truly a *criminally* underrated show coming up to it's conclusion in a couple weeks time.
@sivan ferna I wouldn't say its better then breaking bad. I think those two shows are on the same level when it comes to quality television with a good story and memorable characters.
domino2097 mark my words...the woman will be the new 007 in the movie...until maybe when Bond returns. Of course, there are rumors now circulating that they reshot all those scenes because of the uproar. I guess we’ll see...
Darkside Doshi No it isn’t. 007 doesn’t ALWAYS have to be Bond just like Bond wasn’t ALWAYS 007 (like in the book You Only Live Twice when he was given the Codename 7777).
No Time To Die directly continues from Spectre, with many of the same side characters. It also features Felix Leiter, a character in Quantum of Solace.
Doing a trailer reaction to the 5th Daniel Craig Bond movie, without having seen any of the previous four - and then discussing it afterwards...is equivalent of stumbling in to a screening of Return of the King, not having seen Fellowship or Two Towers, and then trying to reason about what you just saw.
"He was in Skyfall." "No he was in Casino Royale". "I never saw Casino Royale". "I never saw Quantum". No one even mentioned Spectre. Why the fuck did anyone at that table even watch this?
Eric and I are in the same boat, never seen any of Daniel Craig's Bond. This trailer looks good though especially since some of it was shot in my country Jamaica🇯🇲. Also, I'm a fan of Lashana Lynch.
Waltz was in SPECTRE, he played Blofeld who was basically responsible for everything that's happened in the Craig films. And the black woman, Lashana Lynch, isn't just playing a 00 agent, she's the new 007 since Bond vanished 2 years ago.
You guys definitely need to react to Casino Royale. It's such an awesome movie! No Time To Die is Daniel Craig's last movie and the black lady in this who is a 00 will be 007 after Daniel Craig. She won't be James Bond, she'll just be the new 007.
The one thing I don’t like is the fact it has connections to the previous movies, that was the problem with spectre. It’s restricting when they have continuity as opposed to being completely stand alone films
The first Felix was Jack Lord. I think that was Dr. No so you would have seen him. Bond really is the origin of the big studio action movie franchise concept that is half of event movies. Started in 1962. Defined almost everything. Adjusted for inflation probably not far behind Stars Wars movies in total Box Office. (Partly because there are at least twice as many Bond movies, but also the OGs like Goldfinger and Thunderball are still historic, inflation adjusted) The essential Bond is (imo) the old Connery's (not Never Say Never) plus Live and Let Die, World us Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale and Skyfall. If someone wants to add Golden Eye or Man With the Golden Gun or Moonraker that's okay. And, for people who want to know what the cool snow stuff in Inception is from, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Handsome movie, lackluster actor. And I love the 1960s Casino Royale comedy. Amazing soundtrack.
We've seen a couple of other double 0s here and there. 006 in Goldneye (Obviously), 004 dies in The Living Daylights (plus another un-named 00 is seen but survives) and it's either 008 or 009 who gets a knife thrown into his back while dressed as a clown in Octopussy.
Looks good !!. It doesn’t seem like Lashana Lynch is the new 007 but moreso just another one who will have a rivalry with Bond . I’m intrigued by Ana De Armas’s role more ( I also may be in love with her after Knives Out). The action looks cool and Safin seems intriguing as a villain . However , I wasn’t much invested in the romance between Madeline and Bond in Spectre ( she certainly is no Vesper but we’ll see).
The reason they have a “rivalry” is because she is the new 007, she’s the successor and likely doesn’t want Bond trying to push himself back into what’s her job now
Agree. Ana de Armas is a great choice as a classic Bond girl in the beautiful, sexy, exotic, dangerous, femme fatale. She is such a ridiculously beautiful woman and through Blade Runner 2049 and Knives Out, can pull off a role like this. Also agree on Madeline's character. In a shallow sense, I think Lea is an extremely average looking woman to be believable as a Bond love interest. Eva Green as Vesper was extremely easy to see why Bond would fall for her- she was very beautiful, sexy, smart, sharp, and witty. That scene when she meets Bond on the train is proof enough.
@@newalchemy9742 "lea is an extremely average looking woman" no, this is just your taste. I would agree if you say that she has not the "femme fatal" spirit that have Eva green, but for having seen Her one time Irl (for the spectre premiere) she really is beautiful and classy. But her character here is really more on the "princess to protect" side than a "badass self-made girl" thats for sure.
All the Craig movies are tied together. Christoph Waltz is the bad guy from Spectre and you find out it was him basically behind all the other villains in the Craig movies and turns out that his father took Bond in after his parents died so he is kind of like his brother.
eating sugar no papa It doesn’t matter. Bond hasn’t always been 007. At one point, he was 7777. Codenames and titles are meant to be passed on, not enslaved to one person’s identity.
my Top 3 choices for the next James Bond are Richard Madden (because of 'Bodyguard' (tv show)), Henry Cavill (because of 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout') & Henry Golding.
1. Guys, you should realy go watch ALL the 007 movies, but D.Craig ones are a must to better understand this one. 2. C. Waltz was in Spectre, not Skyfall. 3. Octopussy starts with the death of 009, The Living Daylights starts with the death of 004. 4. Bond movies for the last 20 years have the problem of being outdone by other movies, the biggest ones Mission Impossible and Bourne franchizes. Bond was always over the top, you knew they were doing things that were impossible (Moonraker's space battle, For Your Eyes Only's chace through Cortina d'Ampezzo...), but were still entertaining. With P. Brosnan they attempted to be more realistic, but hit rock bottom with Die Another Day (remember the tsunami surfing, or the invisible car). So the reboot with Casino Royale and the whole D. Craig series is a welcome change into actual realism (apart from Bond being super human as to him surviving all the beating and wounds he suffers - before that Bond couldn't be wounded, maybe knocked out a few times, but never realy hurt).
You don't technically have to see all the Bond movies to understand the new one. Everything from 'Dr No' to 'Die Another Day' is one loosely connected series released back when people didn't give a shit about continuity or canon. After the Austin Powers films basically ruined their format and with the success of film series like Bourne, James Bond was given the gritty hard reboot in 2005 with 'Casino Royale', meaning with this new series only the Craig films count as part of the new canon. Defo react to the Craig movies before watching the new one. Would love to see that!
I believe we saw all the 007's (cameo) in Thunderball. If they wanted to have a female 007 (and apparently that was the original idea) they should have gone the Black Widow route and brought on Scarlett Johnsson.
Cary Joji Fukunaga - "Maniac" on Netflix is the droid you're looking for. Boggles my mind when people say things that's aren't Mr Robot when they talk about Rami Malek. Far and away the best work he's done, not his fault that the Emmies haven't bothered to properly recognise that whilst circle-jerking about GoT.
I can’t watch a reaction movie where they don’t even know which movie Christoph Waltz was in. HE WAS THE VILLAN IN SPECTRE!!!! Done watching three minutes in!

David Niven was great in that!
The only Bond movie I’ve seen is Die Another Day.
@eating sugar no papa that's fine that film is absolutely god awful
@@jamesfeguson3445 your opinion bud but I think alot of people liked it
Casino royale is the best one we need that reaction and one for skyfall

James Feguson whatever you think the real James Bond is, it doesn’t exist. You don’t know what it is, no one does. How about you stop criticising people’s opinions with facts that don’t actually exist.
Casino Royale is Craig's best Bond movie. Skyfall, on the other hand, is incredible overated imo.
Reacting to this would is pointless without seeing the Daniel Craig ones.

Kalevi Roger Moore is really good
I loved pierce brosnan. Not his movies but Bond seemed so cool.
It was akin to watching a modern archetype be destroyed. I wish we could destroy religion similarly, ha!
Christoph Waltz was in the Last Movie which was "SPECTRE", Not "SKYFALL".

I would love to see you guys react to atleast the Craig Bonds !!.
My ranking so far
1. Casino Royale
2. Skyfall
3.Spectre
4. Quantum of Solace
I'd really like to see you guys to react to Mr Robot. The series is about to end in a few weeks and I think it's the perfect time to catch up.
Now's the perfect time to watch Mr Robot! One of my favorite shows of past decade
You guys should react to Mr. Robot. That show is a joy to watch
You guys should seriously watch Mr. Robot. Its stars Rami Malek and its honestly one of the best shows ever made. Right up there with Breaking bad.

I really hate this...why can't she be like 004? Or whatever number! This is a big fuck you too 60 years of history
domino2097 Incorrect. Anyone can be any 00. There were multiple 009s in the original continuity so why can’t there be multiple 007s?
Darkside Doshi No it isn’t. 007 doesn’t ALWAYS have to be Bond just like Bond wasn’t ALWAYS 007 (like in the book You Only Live Twice when he was given the Codename 7777).
All the Daniel Craig James Bond films share a continuity with each other.
I guess one last film with my generation bond is a must watch!
No Time To Die directly continues from Spectre, with many of the same side characters. It also features Felix Leiter, a character in Quantum of Solace.
Daniel Craig is perfect fitted for 007 role . He owned the character James Bond . We remember always you Mr. Bond.
I definitely reccomend you to react on Mr Robot. New season 4 has an impressive ratings ever.
