Brilliant video AS, this Maria Theresa thaler is one that confuse me the most. I would love to stack these coins but premiums on them here are ridiculous. So for now, I just have ONE thaler. Green with envy looking at your stack of thalers. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing my friend 😊👍🏻
The major part of my silver stack consists of Maria Theresa Thalers. That’s just the tube I am filling up at the moment. 😆 They were so cheap here until last year…
An excellent presentation and video AS, it was both informative and interesting to watch, I enjoyed learning about the history of this coin, you certainly have a nice collection, thank you for sharing. Cheers Peter J 🤗🙏😇👌👍
That was the best historical info I've ever heard about the Maria Teresa Thaler, well done. I only have one of them in my collection but I think it has a great design.
Fantastic...I have been waiting a long time to hear your thoughts on this amazing coin. I am actually performing a Haydn piece this year dedicated to her! THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME! Great video!!

@@AustrianStacker I am a director...This is a state wide audition but yes! We have two rounds left of choosing the best choral students in our state and then, the best of the best will perform the piece in February. This would be more of a masterwork so orchestra and choir performance.

I love the history of old coins. I have multiple British cemorative coins and even Nazi circulated coins from WW2. Anyway, Awesome content. Like from me.
A very late comment (I am watching some of your older shows) but great information. I have been stacking Thalers for some years now - my preferred bullion coin. Not sure if you knew or not, but new research (presented in the UK magazine Coin News, January - May 2024) about the Thaler has been presented, which may reveal a lot more about the various mints and how to tell which coin was struck where and even when. 👍
Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻 Thanks for the info. I need to get this magazine. I talked to an expert from an auction house here in Vienna before I made the video. Great video! I've had a Maria Theresa Thaler in my collection for years. I've always suspected that it was fake but I've never known. I threw the one I have on the scale and it weighs 28.09 grams, is that within the acceptable variance for this coin? It doesn't look heavily circulated or anything.
28.09 is absolutely fine. My MTTs have between 28.05 g and 28.09 g. Depending on the condition if they are tarnished etc. According to Austrian Mint they should have 28.07 g. I tested all of mine and all were genuine.
I think they are great coins to have in your stack. Unfortunately the premiums on those have also gone up where i am. As far as I'm aware, I'm the only person with a colourised one.
