Greeting from Indonesian dude, great video btw! I used to study karawitan back in junior high school, this video reminds me a lot that memories! Keep it up, proud of you man
Wow great tunes Sean, keep it up!
Thanks, Alex. Appreciate ya.
Hey sean proud of you keep it up
Truly a man of many talents
I love that fast tempo on the kacapi
I really like the sound that instrument makes and the dark, mysterious & adventurous tone of the track really hits the right spot with me. Fantastic work.
Not sure if you've heard of this artist but this kinda reminds me of some of his stuff. Check out "Yestegan Chay - Kabab", I think you might like it.
Thanks, I enjoyed that track a lot.
Glad to hear that. I have quite a big selection of tracks somewhat similar to that one that I can introduce you to, though I'm not sure what your taste in music specifically is so here's a few different ranges of tracks for a start, just tell me which ones (if any) appeal to you:
1. Zen dub - Panacea
2. Saur One - Watercolor
3. Loud - One way (tor.ma in dub remix)
4. Auditive escape - Light radio
5. Auditive escape - Jouvence
6. Argaman - Inharmonic symphony
7. Hallucinogen in dub - L.S.D
8. Sure dread - Cool breeze
9. Slackbaba - The gates of zion
10. Kalya Scintilla - Listen with your heart
11. Cydelix vs Red eye express - Una faccia una razza
12. International Observer - Lampedusa
13. Ott - Escape from tulse hell
14. Radioactive Sandwich - Drip drop
15. D.batistatos - Empty glass
...Whew, that should cover most types of genres of similar type of music, hope you enjoy.
Thanks, I'll give these a listening to later.

Nice man, this gave me some microtonal music vibes, is the instrument tuned to harmonic series by any chance? Great playing, keep it up, proud of you

I really like this alot! is it slightly out of tune though?
The scales traditional Indonesian music uses don't translate exactly to western scales. Instead of do-ray-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do, this scale is da-mi-na-ti-la. It is called Pelog and it roughly translates to F#, F, C#, B, A#.
Hey Sean, I've tried to find this instrument for sale online. Where would you recommend getting one?
Sean what is the meaning of life and the purpose of the universe?
Make a little music before you die.
you shoul learn to play shadilay
