Hi Tamara, nice project and i love the special stitch that you shared with us. I am use to the crab stitch as either a finishing border or as a ridge in the back of a blanket when i am adding panels to each other. Also just another way of making your beautiful card holder would be to crochet 18 rows instead of 9, fold over and crochets the side seams together and then continue from there, I have even lined mine and turned them into little sachets full of lavender or some other scented flowers and throw them into a bowl or into the person's gift as an extra bonus.
Thanks for your idea doing a gift card holder this what I need give this Christmas. 🙏
Cute idea. 👍 Good idea with the stitch markers to count the rows too. Wish I thought of that when I was learning. 🧐 Thank you for sharing. 💜🌻

Love it thank you for sharing!
Very cute idea! I wonder about crocheting around a hair tie, if it was supposed to be used as a luggage tag?
Ooo, I love that idea!
