I love playing tall & defensive as malakai and sending off Malakai to do his adventures. Kraka Drak is one of the best dwarf settlements to build a deeps in because of the landmark and gemstone mine it can produce thousands of gold per turn with the 5% per turn bonus.
Edit: if you're looking for the five settlements to take it would be, Krak Drak, Mount Gunbad, Silver pinnacle, Karak Ungor and either Hellpit or Erengrad. Give everything else around you to dwarfs and Kislev.

    Nice to see inventive strategies!
I never really went for Norsca, myself. So it's nice to see that you also don't 🙂

Nice vid! I dunno if I’d call it “migration” vs just pushing south.

I get it but it is so much more fun to play something challenging like Malakais original start. Fighting off seemingly endless hordes can be “annoying” but when you have gyrocopters everything is trivial. You really have to manage your empire and pick your battles wisely. It really is a fun campaign. Once you get grombrindal and all of his benefits from his blue skill line you start to snowball. Its just a matter of time to get the grudges necessary to confed.

I have not the feeling that this version is not challenging. It's just strategically more viable.
Also, for dwarfs to stick to their mountains is the logical thing.

I wouldn't mind being in norsca except they disabled walls in norscan settlements... that's no fun for dwarves.
