The context is different there This is a reality which was completely remade by an evil Reed Richards variant, and one of the things he did was to avoid having Peter get bitten, leaving him to only become a superhero in his adult life when he's been informed that his future was ruined But everyone (including me) only cares about his marriage to MJ so meh
Even though The Show dosent feature any of Spider-Mans recognizable rouges gallery. I feel like they could have still used some of his more grounded villains such as The Enforcers, Hammer Head, and heck even The Kingpin.
The 70s was an era I majorly missed out on! Thank you for doing this review for all us Spidey fans out there. It’s certainly fascinating to find out what the very first Spider-man TV show was like! Keep up the great Marvel reviews!
I'm glad you gave this show more praise than most people would. Nicholas Hammond is the grandfather of Spider-Man live action actors, and Frank is a real trooper for doing those down right terrifying stunts!
I'm sure they could've done Kingpin and The Punisher. Fun fact: the play Nicholas Hammond was doing when he got cast as Peter Parker, is the same play Mary Jane was working on in Spider-Man 2. And her costar in the play, played young David Banner in The Incredible Hulk tv series. Rosalind Chao also appeared on The Incredible Hulk. Funny thing, CBS was one of the owners of The CW. Which it was mostly superhero shows. According to Nicholas Hammond, the ratings dropped the second season because they kept changing when it aired.
For those out wandering why the show didn't use any of Spider-Man's rogues, it's because Marvel wanted this show to be taken seriously by adults so it tried to be more realistic and more intelligent then the over the top Batman 1966 show.
What did Steven Fratus play spider man in I have looked him up and have not been able to find anything that he is credited as spider man I could have the spelling wrong I put on close caption and that is the spelling that shows up and thank you for the video I am looking forward to your next project
"His whole motivation to become a super hero relies on Uncle Ben's words and death"
Ultimate Spider Man (2024) : Am I a joke to you?

Tombstone, Chameleon, The Wall could have worked amazingly!

Maybe even at least Kraven.
@ Maybe.
Hopefully he gets adapted well into something again.
@@kendi5391 The Wall only appeared in one single story that wasn't even in the main comics lol, why do people love this guy so much
@@postironichno_innit It's a living wall, hard to not love the guy.

Awesome also i hope one day you’ll talk about marvel rising
I have never heard anyone talk about marvel rising/I haven't personally watched it but I'm curious as to what it's all about
@@EternalEdgeLord I've seen couple of clips and as far I know it's using legacy heroes and Gwen Stacy's Spider-Woman.
26:04 still one of the best daredevil lines from a pretty good show
It was the only live action Spider-Man tv show until Spider-Man Noir comes out!

Hi I’m the 4th comment
Good for you😄
hi the 4th comment im Gavin
@ hello Gavin
I was in single digits in the 70s and early 80s. I remember this show appearing so sporadically.
