    😀 About VideoShowMeHow
    -----------------------------------------------
    ⏩ What's with the gloves?
    Not after any UA-cam fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing - easy to spot my videos! If that's not your thing and you'd prefer to watch a face, all good, I won't be offended, there's plenty of better looking ones to watch already on UA-cam ;)
    ⏩ Where did this start?
    I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)
    ⏩ What will you find here?
    The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)

    Great video as always Adam! How much clearance height does it add? And what’s the mounting like? Would these work with rhino rack cross bars?

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  8 місяців тому +1

      Adds the height of the awning, mounting is easy peasy, great brackets are included. You could def use bars with this

    Love your video!! Two random questions if you happen to know :)
    1. I have a tailgate that lifts up, will this be an issue? From what I can see it shouldn't be since the polls aren't across it...
    2. Could you set this up as a 180deg awning? Looks like you could just not open fully and use it as a 180deg.
    Appreciate your wonderful videos! Given you a sub and like.

      1) should be fine, my canopy window goes up ok
      2) yeah that's one of the cool things with this awning, you can setup in 180 mode if you want to. Has an extra couple of straps to enable that

  • @unrealshots
    @unrealshots 8 місяців тому

    How does it compare to the Bushwakka, Adam? I think I saw the 180 degree conversion straps on your tailgate - do you reckon it's a solid option? I need to mount to the platform on my cab, as I have a Carryboy canopy, which is rubbish for mounting options

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  8 місяців тому +1

      Easy on par with quality 👌 Much better brackets and powder coating. The 180 straps are a cool option, basically just keeps the last arm and materials nice and bundled so works well, certain use cases could be good (eg if you wanted ladder off RTT to the rear)

    Hi Adam got to ask you something how many kilometres are you getting out of your set of tyres and how many wheel alignments have you done my dmax has done 42000 kilometres i rotate tyres every 5000 kilometres because of the scrubbing on the inside and it's had tree alignments Ian convinced there's a stub axle factory problem what do you think cheers Adam

      Have around 25k on mine so far, is some scrubbing. Check-out this weekend's video, going into lots of detail on this issue!

      @VideoShowMeHow I'm going the other way. About to sell mine off and get the bushwakka. Solely for the reason of being away over the weekend in 40kmph winds and the person next to me had his oit the whole time without any assistance.
      Any gust of wind and I'm worried the 23zero will cave in on itself. Even the reps tell you not to use it on wind.

      I’ve been chatting to the local bushwakka supplier here in Victoria, they deals are quite good at the moment. And I’ve found out the rust issues are only on their standard brackets….so upgrading to the Kaon brackets is the go.
      So you didn’t feel the 23zero was good in windy conditions.

    You didn’t show us how the 180 set up looks like 👍🏽

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah really maximises the space. The 180 just uses those straps to tie in the last arm. Would work well if you didn't want coverage over the tailgate
