Wdym tough? Define your tough • do you find it difficult to learn and retain a lot of content? • do you find it difficult to actually solve numerical stuff You dont really need to worry about the latter part unless you wanna persue psychology as a career because in colage you will find things such as statistics and numerical values with other stuff you didn’t really sign up for But all in all i find psychology an interesting subject. Does it make me cry? Yes does it also make me feel great knowing im understanding people? Also yes. Psychology might be tough if you dont have interest in it. Lemme tell you my story. In my 11th I thought psychology is too easy and didnt really pay any attention to it in may exams but i still scored more than 60% with just a read of chapters before the exam but man little did i know that only the last 2 chapters were that easy. In my mid terms i tried to do the same but this time the chapters were VERY DIFFERENT and needed actual time to be understood and retained. Result? 33/70. I devoleped a kind of phobia against psychology. Was i sad? Absolutely, the subject i thought was soo easy just hit me in the back like a B. Honestly that kinda motivated me, I started putting extra hours into actually understanding the chapters for my next exams. And actually scored 70% in December. for my finals i was not really ready because of that one really long chapter that I hadn’t even read once before the length of the chapter scared me. 4 hours before the exam i tried reading the chapter and guess what? I found out that the chapter was so damn easy. (I have economics, so the topics in ch2 of psychology was kindofff similar to a chapter of statistics in eco) so honestly the read of ch and learing of only the imp ques helped a ton and i scored 85/100 in psychology. I know the score may sound less but that’s because I didn’t study psychology up until December and obviously its a learning intensive subject but i was happy with my result I would not really call it tough but just learning intensive and understanding. Like you saw, you cant score with just 1 day of studying so you really gotta gear up from start. If you do decide to take psychology here are my 2 cents • try to open the book everyday and READ i cannot stress enough on reading ncert even 20 minutes of mindful reading and learning just 1.5-2 pages every day is MORE THAN ENOUGH • make notes. Lots of them Keep writing. I usually went like this for tough chs: 1 read topic 2 underline imp stuff 3 write almost all the imp stuff i marked in short and sober notes 4 learn the notes 5 re read the topic This was soo helpful for me Lmk if you have a doubt
