Going to my first locals in 20 years tmr. Going with danger dark world super happy to get out and play. Thanks for all the videos covering DDW decks cause that’s all I got money for rn and I’ve been basing my deck and combos off what you’ve been showing on your channel. Big ups mate!
went 1-1-5 i misplayed and had some of the absolute worst hands lol .. all good tho super fun gald to be back in the game! lots of cool dudes at locals helped me out a bit too, cant wait for Sunday again!
Yo Zeph! I watch every upload, learned how to play DW from your vids. I'm currently running ishizu tear, was running 7 bystials but decided to be funny and put in a DW package. 1 King of the swamp, 2 grapha, 3 Silva. When I go first, I usually have Silva in opening hand, pass turn with my end board: Rulkallos (or Kaleido), IP masq, big boy Grapha, and maybe dweller if needed. As soon as opponent breathes, I chain grapha, pitch Silva. They essentially neg 3 off the bat, then on resolution I go IP, Silva, and grapha into Apollousa. People's reaction is always worth it. Would love to see a test hand of your DW tear! Keep up the grind bro!
I absolutely love this list. I'm kind of scared to run two zala's cause Its a hard OPT. I'm kinda up and down with puppetry now after testing it for a few. So a lot of experiments are still being conducted on this deck. Congrats on the win mate!
So... I've hand an epiphany with Ceruli. I'm not sure how I missed this but if you have multiple copies of Ceruli you can do funny stuff. For example: Ceruli gets discarded, Ceruli makes you discard a Reign-Beaux, Reign-Beaux searches Sillva/Goldd/Lucent and then special summons to your opponent's field another copy of Ceruli, the second copy of Ceruli then makes you discard the searched Sillva/Goldd/Lucent meaning you also get their secondary effect. With Lucent in particular you can really quickly you can end up with your opponent having 3 copies of Ceruli while Lucent lets you special summon any fiend from the deck to either field. I'm playing around with it because there is potential there. This Ceruli - Reign-Beaux/Lucent interaction might also be good for synchros or control because Lucent can special summon tuners like Fabled Raven and Infernity Sage (neither are hard once per turn with their discard effects) but also Lucent can special summon Barrier Statue of the Abyss from your deck to your field (though the barrier statue would require significant reworking of the extra deck) and I mentioned Ido the Supreme Magical Force before which servers a similar purpose to the barrier statue. This is more relevant in another FTK that Danger! Dark World can pull off with Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons and Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon but if you have given your opponent a bunch of Ceruli's you can use Lucent to special summon Perditious Puppeteer (Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; gain control of all face-up Level 3 or lower monsters your opponent controls, until the End Phase. These monsters cannot activate their effects, and cannot be Tributed or used as a Synchro Material Monster.) from your deck which allows you to reclaim all of the copies of Ceruli and then bounce them all for Grapha/Reign-Beaux or link them all off. Also, because this is hilarious to me, Dirge of the Last Dragon (Activate this card by declaring 1 card name. Each time the declared card, or its effect, is activated, halve its owner's LP immediately after it resolves. During the End Phase, if this card halved a player's LP this turn, send this card to the GY. While your opponent controls a monster, this card cannot be destroyed by card effects.) when you declare Ceruli you halve your life points with Ceruli activating in the GY and then you halve your opponent's life points when ceruli activates on your opponent's field. Then if ceruli is discarding a reign-beaux you can then special summon 2 more copies of ceruli to your opponent's field if reign-beaux searches Lucent... meaning they have 1000 LP left... assuming you can't bounce and use Ceruli more. Definitely not meta relevant. Just funny to me how 3 cards and a discard outlet can leave your opponent on 1k LP. Anyways, good build! Looks solid. At 45+ cards you might be able to get away with another copy of Archives. I would keep it to only 1 copy though if you're ~40 cards. Still like Trade-In way more than Allure just because bouncing a reign-beaux back to hand to use for Trade-In effectively makes Trade-in a pot of greed and trade-in works with Lava Golem and will trigger the level 8 dangers. Your point about Puppetry being an almost Bystial counter is interesting, I'll have to think on that. I took my Danger! Dark World deck to a locals (evening on a week day so limited to 3 rounds) and went 2-1. First match was Swordsoul and neither of use had good opening hands but DWs pop off hard once you get going. Second game against an Adventure deck I lost in game 3 because we ran out of time even though I just got what I needed to break their board and might have OTK'd them that turn. Third game wasn't really fair because Dark Magician decks, while not bad, are definitely worse than DW.
About the 2nd paragraph, why summon Barrier Statue of the Abyss, when you can give them D/D/D Vice King Requiem (locking them to D/D/D) while none plays Machinex? EDIT: it's also lvl8 for your trade in. Dirge says "owner" and not "controller". Owner is always the person that has the physical copy on their side at the start of the duel, controller is the person that has it currently on the field.
@@babrad So Barrier Statue of the Abyss would be summoned to your field. Ido the Supreme Magical Force you would give to your opponent and is arguably the better choice to give your opponent than Vice King Requiem as you can stop your opponent from bashing Ido to death on your monsters with a defense Hopeharbinger but Vice King Requiem would be at 3100 under gates. Additionally with Ido your opponent cannot put a monster on the board with the exception of setting or tribute setting while Vice King Requiem only covers special summoning so something like Floo would be unaffected. You right about Dirge. My bad. XD
@@PlagueSpreader64 or you just end on Bagooska to force Vice into DEF + destroy floo, while as a pendulum monster they can't use it for Droplet's cost. If it were OCG I would totally agree on Ido since it even locks tribute sets. but as it is, being lvl 8 + anti-droplet without fearing a Grapha discard will destroy YOUR board (mandatory trigger popping Ido) seems better to me
@@babrad The grapha popping Ido isn't as much of a worry as you think it is. To give them Ido in the first place you need to also give them a Ceruli. Also Muckraker can prevent all your monsters from being destroyed by tributing off Ido itself. Thank you for bringing Vice to my attention though! I'll have to think about it.
@@PlagueSpreader64 I rarely end on Muckraker since i prefer her for recovery. She's only summoned if I bricked or if that is the last discard outlet. My only issue with ido is that it doesn't lock Tributing over it, so I would prefer the added consistency of being a lvl8 for trade-in instead of a dead card, while I consider the dark statue absolutely useless in a meta full of DARKs, that's why I ended on Vice (and tested Archfiend Emperor as well, restricts to fiends + lvl8 but can be normal summoned for Trainer/Galaxies)
Congrats on 1st! Got a spicy tech for ya to try. Nadir Servant. I don't know if you know this, but Apkallone discards for effect to add Schism. You can use that to get you towards the Grapha Fusion on a bad hand and then play it on the opponent's turn. Going second you get can dump N'tss to out cards and get 5k damage from Ecclesia and Fluerdelis. But the real strength is that Ecclesia and Fluerdelis are independently good cards for the deck. They're a Lv. 4 and 8 extender on top of their use together to put damage and a negate on board. The ratios I found best was a small package of: 1 Ecclesia, 2 Fluerdelis, 3 Nadir Servant, 1 Shaddoll Schism, 1 Apkallone, 1 Winda, 1 N'tss. Titaniclad and Punishment were more trouble than they were worth in most cases, Maximus is a horrible idea right now.
I run 3 archives and 1 accession, and what ill do is use foolish burial goods(I run 3) to send accession to grave, activate archives, bounce accession back to hand, discard and then archives gives me another discard and draw 2. I play pure dark world though, so I always have dark world monsters available in rotation generally. If youre using dangers or some other mix where dark world monsters are a smaller ratio, If only do 1-2 archives. Dangers give you draws anyway. I play like 18 dark world monsters in my deck of 28 total monsters though. You can also set accession or puppetry, activate it on your opponent’s turn and you get a free draw 2 again.
Love all these DarkWorld deck bro!!! I do have a question any chance you could do like a cyber dragon deck for the format now? Ik old deck. I would play Danger Dark World next time I go to locals but people play quite big Bystial engines there. I might at some point, but this time I'm playing Dragon Link, but since I don't have Lubellion, I'm gonna play doublr Rivalry and Amorphage Sloth. Last time I was at locals, people had a hard time outing Rivalry anyways. Don't think they would expect dragons to slap down Rivalry.
