Lovely rendition of "Tornami a Vagheggiar", the coloraturas are very pretty and clear, if the stylistic choices are a little odd at times. However, the video is almost painful to watch - from the obvious lip-syncing to the poor acting to the horrible plot (modernizing Shakespearean roofying? it was bad enough without the modern connotations). It seems that opera production people came across the similarities between Alcina and A Misummer's Nights Dream and bashed out a video without thinking too much into it :/

Not sure If the coffee is in Hanoi (personally I think it is not), but yes, all the subtitled videos in our page are always include Vietnamese, since we aimed to introduce it to Vietnamese audiences (and everyone who wants to enjoy it, of course :D )
I'm sure the Vietnamese have to put up with way more English than the other way around.

Ich hoffe sie geht dem nach und geht zu Herrn Dr. Kürsten oder einem anderen Fachmann der viel Erfahrung mit Sängern hat, denn es wäre schade, wenn die Anatomie des Stimmapperates durch fehlerhafte Technik oder einer unvorteilhaft Intonation diese Störung unbemerkt Schaden nähme, bis ploetzlich ganze Töne plötzlich nicht mehr sitzen...
Very nice singing: unforced, relaxed vocal production, intonation generally good. The orchestra was excellent. But that ornamentation in the da capo! First of all, the vast majority of improvised ornamentation in the Baroque was meant for slow movements, not quick ones. Even in the da capo of a quick aria, it was still understood that the melody line would be recognisable, and that the ornamenting would be limited to agrèments: trills, mordents, coulés, Schleifern, etc. What we heard here amounted to wholesale rewriting. And the video was dreadful. Rebarbative, revolting and unnecessary.
Silly perhaps but revolting?
Some folks have too much facility!! A lot of display but little revelation or telling nuance. The B section is all over the place...does she really know the full meaning of vagheggiar? I was hoping for a little subtlety, suggestiveness, a vocal elan that isn't so clipped and choppy.
