* What exactly can you sue someone for? That is a really broad question, but one important thing to remember is that you can sue (or be sued) for just about anything. That said, there are many frivolous lawsuits that will not hold up in court.
In this video, we are going to discuss the basics of what you can sue someone for. We will also talk about some of the issues that will make a case frivolous.

I want to sue for a false levy put on my bank account that was done after my judgment case was closed for over 6 months. They never filed the paperwork after the judge dismissed the case and levied my accounts anyways.
Can I sue someone if they caused physical damage to my well-being. I have doctors notes, and actual ultrasound pictures of the damage and I was wondering if it could be used to sue them. It was an abusive relationship and I don’t know what to do, but I’m in excruciating pain so I just want some justice.

@@LydaGroupThanks anyways, I had perfect driving record and paid nearly $200 for whatcI thought was collision coverage. Progressive is the worst. Now, I have actual full coverage with a non popular insurance company for a better price.

Can you talkabuse.a case agains narcissistic abuse in a relationship ship and being harm, emotionally, phychologically abuse, harassment, devaluation and getting ill after their abuae.

I was speaking generally about Colorado at the time of filming, but every situation is different. It’s worth researching that specific issue in your state and/or talking to an attorney licensed in your state.
I had to cancel my flight due to sickness. The agent advised me to cancel the tickets because it will cause me double to change the date. He said I will get a full refund once I pay $600 cancellation.He sent me an email stating that I will get full refund with the $600 receipt. So he made me pay $600 cancellation and I still didn’t get my refund on top of it. I tried to talk to them but they keep telling me that the agent is on vacation. I have to deal with him only.

So… my mother initiated SSI benefits on my behalf without my knowledge just before my 18th birthday and continued to claim such benefits for 4 years until I found out by finding a letter addressed to me… she filed me as “financially incompetent” and my father had no knowledge until recently either… she’s amassed quite a bit from my name and is continuing to down our lives in more personal ways… can I sue her for this??? Here is a scenario (can I sue?):
I am walking about down the street and an envious enemy of a friend approaches me that I know. He begins to trash talk. He shoves me and I defend myself by pushing him back. He then throws punches and we brawl. Folks who are not bystanders (very rare in today’s world) come to break up the fight and I walk away with a bloody noise.
Would I be able to sue this person for physical injury to my well being?

I've seen lawyers track down anonymous posters before, but it does take a lot of work and money. Good call hiring a lawyer if you do wind up getting sued.

Not surprised the lawyer said that. It can be possible to subpoena IP addresses from internet service providers, but that can be extremely expensive and time-consuming.

For defamation that is untrue. Look up bad light. What was said can be true but made you seem bad.

If somebody insults me, can I sue them? For example a realtor keep saying really mean/bad things to me. It really hurt my feelings? Am I entitled to composition?

For others who might be wondering about suing over insults, the general principle is that Free Speech protections prevent many of these types of suits. Generally, to sue for defamation, statements must be factually false and must be said/written to third parties. Harassment claims vary by state but generally require specific intent, and people are often surprised at the high bar required for these claims. Suing for emotional distress also varies by state, but these claims often require damages/injury beyond hurt feelings.
