@Gatorsfan10 Considering how hard this piece is, I actually think they sound good. Actually, this is probably one of the best recordings of this piece I have heard. (No, I am not exaggerating, all the recordings I have heard of this are either riddled with wrong notes and unacceptable tempo fluctuations, or the recording quality itself sucks) And by the way, I go to USF and therefore have no brief for UCF :P
Actually quite a good performance of it, if a bit rushed (not the players' fault!). Listen to the Stephenson Middle School's rendition for comparison. It's a tough piece and while Stephenson does a great job for their age, hearing it played here by more accomplished musicians really brings out the technical "features" of the piece that make it such a great piece for younger players to work on. Too bad the conductor felt the need to push it so fast, not allowing some of the sonorities to develop.
