    For someone who keeps saying “antibiotic”. She does give him antibiotics, and a type of mask to help the cystic to get to the surface of the skin. He has to take the antibiotic and apply the mask on his face at home though. She also steams his face before the treatment. And the yellowy thing that she wiped on his face is collagen (she said). And she also gives him some medicated cleanser. I don’t know what makes people think all she has done is just pimple popping!

    This is so wrong! The ensuing damage to the surrounding tissue increases the risk for infection while decreasing the skins ability to properly heal. Hasn't anyone thought of benzoyl peroxide? It was help with reducing the inflammation and dry up some of the oils.

    • @sarahnicole3206
      @sarahnicole3206 4 роки тому +4

      Lizzy Smith Hi there! So I just wanted to clarify this treatment is not taking place in the US. Also, benzoyl peroxide can be very helpful in treating cystic acne. However, it does not work for everyone. It can be very irritating to the skin for many patients and also cannot be used together with some treatments including but not limited to: topical ointment, salicylic acid, sulfur, tretinion, resorcinol etc.... she’s using Povidone-iodine (orange brown liquid) which is an antiseptic used to treat and kill bacteria. You’ll also see her using a form of kelp or seaweed paste which is used as an anti-inflammatory. Again, this treatment is not taking place in the US therefore there is a huge cultural difference in medical guidelines. This type of cystic acne can be anabiotic resistant and we don’t know his past or current medical history. I can say though that in his latest treatment video she has completely cleared him of acne with little to no scarring whatsoever. I know it’s difficult when we see things done in different countries because were so used to the US standard. We have to remember that foreign countries sometimes do not have access to even a quarter of the things that we have access to in the US and there’s also a cultural difference in what people think is medically appropriate. I am a psychiatrist out of Las Vegas Nevada and I also write healthcare policy and procedure for the AMA. I know how frustrating it can be to see things done so inadequately and often times in a very unhygienic fashion. I did do some research and she has in fact followed minimal US guidelines in treating cystic acne and followed them to the fullest as determined by her countries medical guidelines. It’s very hard to determine anything as it would be speculative. Not knowing who this patient is or his medical history makes it difficult to make any sort of third-party assessment. However, the end result does speak for itself.

    I am sorry for this kid but you did a great job! 😄 If he really wants to clear up his face, he needs to research the foods that can help clear this up. It looks like too much greasy foods. Need more green leafy salads, spinach really helps.

      It's entirely possible this has no relation to food at all. Many youth in Vietnam have chloracne, which is a result of exposure to residual Agent Orange in the soil from the Vietnam War. They have no control over exposure, they just simply must treat it. Don't judge someone for their diet when you don't know the whole story.

      If antibiotics are expensive, then there must be alternative medications.
      Steam, steam masks, then a gentle squeeze. Scrubs made with herbs, peroxide, betadine, lemon juice.
      Another shelf product is Formula 10.0.6 'So Totally Clear' ... This product is brilliant - perhaps purchase on EBay.
      Or, on a tougher side ..... make a paste acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) crushed with lemon juice then paint it on and leave for 20 minutes. It cannot be any worse than spearing them and leaving heaps of pock marks.
      I feel sad for these poor patients, having to endure the pain these pimples/blackheads cause and having the embarrassment of such angry skin. Wishing you the best
