Star Wars Racer Arcade - Demul v0.7 alpha

- Finally, the Demul team have managed to get Star Wars Racer Arcade working on their latest build, Demul v0.7 alpha. As you can see, it's not 100% yet but is still very playable. I tested out all courses using gpuDX11ng which adds a bit more level of detail than gpuDX11.

I remember my former media teacher in secondary school talking about how he worked on the Pod Race in the film.
The POD race is one of my favorite scenes in the Star Wars movies :-)

I remember playing this game for the first time in Disneyland Florida, the hotel we stayed at had arcade games like this, Brave Firefighters, Virtua Fighter 3 and Fighting Bojutsu, it also had this nifty looking shooting gallery game that gave you the card you shot up.

@@abrahamdavidcortina923 For DisneyQuest, it has Johnny Nero Action Hero machine. Star Wars Racer, Action Hero, Wasteland Racers 2071, and Brave Firefighters are the Chuck E. Cheese games during the Avenger era.
Oh it's beautiful. I have never seen this version before I only ever saw in gaming magazines.
I played this game at a chuck e cheese's location in orchard park, new york like 6 times there,
And it was very hard to win the game. I remembered that the controls in the arcade cabinet were not like the daytona usa and regular car racing game!

I played this game in theater arcades
My current record for the tatooine easy track boostless is 3:08, and that was set on the original arcade machine throttles and all. I actually wound up doing the boostless run because one day, I went to my local arcade and the button was broken. Now I hold the record for boostless runs at that arcade
I use to play this game religiously at chuck e cheese and davenbusters, I remember the dave and busters I went too had multiple cabinets set up. Even had anniken's helmet on display.

Loved this game as a kid, was always the game I played over at the arcade at the contemporary resort at Disney. That and trilogy

Star Wars is my Favourite Movie but i like it
Great play, heheheh... well, that game not only is completelly unplayable on my computer but the lack of good phong lightning makes this version of the game looks freak as hell, specially in the malastare, and the cave on the Boonta Classic, where you could see the giant rocks and the blu sky out there, LOL... the graphics become much more strange and scary if you ask me, it gives me nightmares at night. Just kidding on tha last part, but I hope that the emulator developers could fix the graphics emulation soon...

You need to find this file and put on the ROM folder, I don't remember if you must input ir ont the zip of the ROM, but anyway, just get this file, and you will be ready to go!
@@tadeuferreira4059 hey. its ok i already find out the problem a long time ago. if i remember correctely it was related to the name of the file. i just change the name of the rom and its ok now. anyway thanks for the help! (and sorry for my english since it isnt my native so i dont understand some words here and there in general)

Wow, the hard course looks like it's impossible to finish within the time limit.
It's hard as helll. I just tried it tonight at a local arcade. After 8 attempts on the practice course I gave up. I couldn't even finish one race on the easiest course.

When you play star wars arcade pc then you see that this sega arcade is a big shame: pod racers racing at 90 km/h ( sega rally cars )
The sound is all garbled and messed up when i play it. Why is that? Are you using a third party sound plugin?

Not Chihiro or else this would be running within a Xbox emulator.
This game ran on the Hikaru board and these boards are extremely fragile, one sudden jolt too many and anything can break on the board.
There's a reason SEGA didn't put out that many games on the Hikaru platform as it was also quite expensive to manufacture and was supposed to only be used with the firefighter game to showcase its fire and water effects.
In fact SEGA abandoned the Hikaru quite quickly to keep on developing on the NAOMI and soon after the NAOMI 2

Which Demul v0.7 Alpha build are you using please? Mine plays fine but the sound is all messed up.
This is because your Pc probably lacks an off board card, and thus the game runs at a very slow pace ande this affects the sound on this emulator...
How did you enter SRA without selecting any of the letters? Plus why did you enter TC1 the first time, but then SRA the other two times?
+SEB1991SEB SRA is the default when you don't put anything on the initials. SRA is for (S)tar Wars (R)acer (A)rcade.
The second race has a bad graphics clipping issue.
The weird clipping issues and flickering aren't present on real arcade hardware. Still some emulation bugs though.

Why are these arcades so big yet the graphics are poor.
Today's graphics are disgusting.
