After re-watcing this series like 10524 times, I've learned why THIS VERSION of Murad loves Farya. She is what he wants in a woman: someone who worships him without question, and only wants to be by his side. She has no interest in politics, no running the harem other than putting her there in his bed, or even being nice to his palace workers. Fayra is the exact opposite of the one woman Murad could never rule over: his mother Kosem. Compare this relationship Murad/Farya to Ahmed/Kosem & Sulilemun/Hurrem and you see that what made the latter two Sultan's strong was their women. No one respects/loves Farya other than Murad, and that's exactly want he wants. Compared to Hurrem and Kosem who went out of their way to prove that they were not only worthy of love, but deserved it. On top of that Farya never stops being a 'Princess' she keeps that 'I'm a royal and I can do what I want' personality which is her fatal flaw. Meanwhile Kosem/Hurrem were bitterly STOLEN from their lands, used, and abused, yet gained the love of the Sultan because they showed they could use not only their brains but their hearts.
actually, what made suleyman strong was his grand vizier, ibrahim, a briliant military/strategist, and ahmed really wasnt that good, he was only in power for a few years, and didnt do much in that time, so the idea of them being good bc they had good women behind them is not correct at all.
Everyone used to call safiye sultan as corrupt when she had all that wealth and now kosem has the same. It only implies that kosem wanted to get rid of Safiye only because she wanted to be like her.

Murad is really starting to show his true colors and, eventually, I think all his rage will come back to bite him. As a viewer the most frustrating part is seeing how Sinan Pasha and Gulbahar are still at large and making moves against Murad yet all his energy is being directed towards his family or innocent people. First Kasim, then Gevherhan and now Kosem and don't even get me started with the unnecessary executions. Murad is really not going to end well.

Murad is just too much of a knucklehead. Brave as they come but too much into his feelings to be as awesome a Ruler as he should’ve been. He was good as a ruler but he definitely had GREATNESS in him but fell short of it only due to his uncontrolled bipolar behavior
If Kasim was truly anything like this series depicts, he may have made a good sultan. But in real history, when Murad ascended the throne, he had his brothers confined to The Cages. So all this drama never occurred. Plus, Kosem never had a daughter named Atike, but did have a son named Suleyman. Twisted history.

From what I’ve read he was extremely religious (so not at all like the series ie sleeping out of wedlock with one of his brother’s women) and potentially a favored brother of Murad IV. A letter from a Venician diplomat in 1634 (I believe) commented that Murad constantly kept his brother Kasim with him. (At this point he calls him Orhan but is later identified as Kasim.) Kasim was also permitted to grow a beard which was forbidden for princes at the time and a huge mark of favor. He was also, according to historians, extremely protective of his younger brother Ibrahim and would hide him in various parts of the palace as well as play up his symptoms of mental illness which he most likely had but their representation in history may be a result of Kasim’s story telling. In doing this he seemed to hope that Murad would not view his youngest brother as a threat. It seems to have worked to some extent because while historians debate whether or not he might have considered having Ibrahim killed, he ultimately survived and became the sultan. Kasim, unfortunately, was not so lucky. After the execution in 1635 of two of his half brothers Selim and Bayezid, Kasim grew increasingly anxious that his brother saw him as a threat. Kasim was allegedly popular with the general public by reputation and with the Janissaires, who were becoming disillusioned with Murad’s cruelty and hypocrisy especially when it came to alcohol. When Murad was planning to leave on campaign, Kasim, again showing a mark of his brother’s favor, came to wish him well and affirm his loyalty. He desperately tried to convince his Sultan that he didn’t want the throne. Murad accepted Kasim’s wishes and that same night, asked for a writ for his execution. Kasim was executed not long after . Ibrahim was in the same wing of the palace at the time and it is not known how much he saw or heard or if he was also a target for execution that night but he was allegedly crushed by his beloved brother’s death. To this day, there is no evidence that Kasim ever plotted against Murad. He was the last Ottoman prince to ever be executed under the law of fratricide. All that to say, I think he would have been a good sultan from what we know about him. He seems to have been compassionate, intelligent, loyal, and devoted to his faith and family. It is said that Kosem favored him and may have even encouraged him and Murad to be close to try and avoid the very thing that ended up happening but this is hard to confirm. We also don’t know how he got on with his half brothers, Bayezid and Selim, or his sisters. However, he was the prince who was most often let out of the Kafes, where princes were kept, and may have tried to intercede on their behalf maybe with his mother’s urging. The fact that he was with Murad enough for foreign diplomats to get an impression of him tells me that there was something special about him to Murad who was closest to him rather than Bayezid like in the show. Unfortunately, dying at the young age of 24 means we will never know what he might he have done or become. We can only speculate and make educated guesses based on what little we know.

I thought the storyline could have been better with Farya but they made it fizzle with not that much of an ending....btw there was no such Farya in real life, Catherine "her mother" never had children with the King of Hungary....
Farya is based in semsisah sultan who was a Christian princess that sultan murad actually married in real life. She had 2 daughters with him. Her death date is disputed, some say she committed suicide not long after murads death, other say that she lived in the old palace until she died at an older age.

1:05:38 😂 why Baezid has this face like he have stomach ache or something????😂😂😂😂
Whats was the meaning of the poetry? There were no subtitles for it
My god Murad is so into women's he just want to enjoy at night
This is the way he mourn his children's death
does he. the state was after a son for their kingdom
Kemankes is an old version of Iskender
Here she starts to become like Sofia Sultan
Can anyone translate what the poet is saying? I’ve tried google translate but that has its limitations.
5:59 I wish kasim see them together too.
Why is there no translation for the poems?
I thought the storyline could have been better with Farya but they made it fizzle with not that much of an ending....btw there was no such Farya in real life, Catherine "her mother" never had children with the King of Hungary....
Farya is based in semsisah sultan who was a Christian princess that sultan murad actually married in real life. She had 2 daughters with him. Her death date is disputed, some say she committed suicide not long after murads death, other say that she lived in the old palace until she died at an older age.
This show looks good, want to try watching it
Is there any in English without subtitles ? J.w.
Many words in this language we spoken in india
Urdu was created during Turkish Delhi Sultanate.
Murad is out of control
Yasak murad yasak 😅 he is so cruel and blinded ...he didn't feel anything even after losing his children...
It's yasik
Any translation of what the visiting poet said?
He said in Farsi
Ooooh kosem really is the new safiye
Ibrahim was the clever one...
and weak heart and mind too
Naughty murad not listening to kosem
Knowing that Ibrahim becomes the next Sultan for 8 years is always in the back of my mind ….the intrigue is forcing me to watch 3 episodes a day😮! Then Kosem becomes Regent when Ibrahim’s child is next in line to throne. What happens to Kosem is awful.
1:42:31 I really dont understand Farya frizzy hair😂
These people should never have been sultans…Vicious people all of them….I don’t like any of them…. I wish I could stop watching but I’m addicted.
they only survived because of their evilness. you cannot survive if you are a good one in that ottoman game of the throne. they kill their own sibling/family/cousin/half-sibling, too many concubines of one prince invite chaos
"..The birth of Jesus...EASTER" 😂
Priest said ressuraction of Jesus but it was mistransled,as "birth"
Yeah I thought that was weird too..... And in reality the church never had any question about The time frame of Easter it was about Christmas
Kosem looks like slimer version of gigi Hadid. Their faces are similar.
Omg...😂😂😂😂 Kosem wants Kasim to be the sultan???😂😂😂😂😂 1:57:48
TRANSLATION PLEASE WE ARE NOT NUMBERS!
always have that hard headed child
Sultan muhrat so cruel I hate him😥😥😡😡Ibrahim's so brave..
he has personality disorder
Power is blowing like the wind. Only the wind gives birth with the seeds, power death!
The palace of tears are very depressing 😂😂😂😂 now I know why have this name 1:08:11
15:54 savage Murat😎
55:45 or What? He will kill the brothers?
Sanevber Hatun is very beautiful by the way
