Thanks for the info. My truck was in the body shop and when I got it back the headlights were angled way high. Figured I'd see if it was a quick fix before I took it back to the body shop. Thankfully it is!
Great Video. Thank you. I have a 2016, 3500 Dually, lifted 3 inches to level it out. I get flashed every time I leave the house. It was beginning to hurt my self esteem :)
Thank you for posting your video on adjusting the 2016 Ram headlights, I couldn't even get the dealership to help me once they saw that I installed aftermarket 6K headlights, Both the shop and mechanic managers wouldn't even show me where to make the headlight adjustments myself. Appreciate your input and video.. Sam Chino,Ca.
I sought out this out for same reason, 6" zone lift so other drivers keep giving me the brights, also realized that by leveling the truck we are changing the angle at which the bulbs reflect from factory, great video thanks for the tips and instructions.
4” mcgaughys lift on 18 ram 2500 every flashes me like I’m tryn to blind them with laser beams! Then I hit them back with high beams and shut them down 😆😆 thanks to a couple vids like this I’m no longer public enemy number one in my small town
People will still bright no matter what. I'm adjusted not to not to glare/ship into their vehicle windows but when I go over a speed bump, they still complain. I'm to the point with some people, i'll flash them back and really give them a reason to complain about having 4 high beam bulbs flashing back at them.
Great vid. However, I think your missing the important first measurement, which is the actual center (of the bulb) at the headlight assembly, measured from the ground. That in turn becomes the measurement for the first horizontal tape mark. And then as you said, measure down another 2 inches or so for the second tape mark. Therefore, if your first horizontal tape mark is placed at the current "high" mark then you'll still actually be high after making the 2" adjustment. Otherwise, great.
Quick question the dealer I’m looking at has one of these n the two I’ve tested have very dim darker yellow headlights. Makes it hard to see I prefer the gmc white lights my truck has. Is it just a bulb change to make it brighter or is it an issue I don’t wanna mess w
I have OEM HIDs on my 2016 Durango. I was hoping this would be the same for my car. It appears they are Allen keys. Any idea what size that would be? It also has a combined Phillips inside of the same spot. Somehow I don't think this is the correct spot for my vehicle. I could really use some help if you're familiar or might know where to look. I hit a coyote about a month ago and did $1000 worth of damage to it and came close to losing the load I was towing which is a collectible. Was a scary moment and could have been aided with the lights not being pointed so low. They automatically level, and when I tow the back squats a tad and they overcompensate and point too far down. Worst part is they point too far down even when it's not loaded up. So I've got to fix this! And I don't trust the dealership techs. Period.
Justin Forrester There is no "set" distance. You have to center lights close up and then go back 25' and adjust accordingly. This may help you: www.google.com/amp/m.wikihow.com/Adjust-Car-Headlights%3famp=1
Rodney Baynard Yes - I have regular beams on not high beam (but projector lights are a single bulb that shows partial light in low & full light in high)

Thanks, and CLOCKWISE lowers the beam. Very easy with the 7mm socket

I leveled my ram and put 35" tires with led and i really needed this video lol
Honestly i don't have the same headlight but on mine it was the second hole, the first one actually i didn't see anything there..
Much appreciated! I have a 2500, and didn't see any videos on it. It is the same!
Thank you for the video now I'm not blinding ppl and I can see the road! Haha.
Wish folks around my neck of the woods would watch this video and learn from it but, it's the oil patch and they don't care. Great vid though

I can only move one side, the other doesn’t move at all? Could the 7mm be stripped or what’s the deal and how do I fix that
In this day and age of road rage its a good idea.

Is there any way to adjust them horizontally. Either via a screw or by the housing?
Great video! Thank you SO much!!

Thanks for making this!
Do you know what the second hole towards the back with an arrow is for?
For non-Projector Lights, the front arrow is for the vertical and the back is the horizontal
So how much do you adjust if it's lifted?
Is this the same procedure with third party headlights?
Thanks dude! Really helped.
thanks for this video. way too easy.
How long of a t20 do you need to get to it to adjust it?
Standard screwdriver length works fine - 6” - 8”
what is the distance from the ground to the light suppose to be?

4 feet high, at 25 foot distance. (at least that's what I read elsewhere)
Is that 25 feet from your bumper or the actual headlight
The headlight
Good video. Thanks!
Are you adjusting low beams?
Rodney Baynard Yes - I have regular beams on not high beam (but projector lights are a single bulb that shows partial light in low & full light in high)
Thanks for the info.!
Do you know what all of you guys omit from your posts? You never say which way to turn your tool to raise or lower the light.
This video assumes your headlights are aligned horizontally unlike mine
Are those halogens or hid
Appl Appl Halogen
great video!!!! THX
Fix your mic. Geeze that's annoying
Thanks. Great video
