great realistic review, these are points I always make to my buddies who want to get into hiking, Patagonia torrent shell for $150 is the best deal for anyone who's not an avid outdoorsman
I plan in picking this up for sure, had a north face rain jacket for many years but it’s time for an upgrade. If you’re the outdoorsy type or even live anywhere with bad winters then the $400 price tag is worth the investment (in my personal opinion obviously).
How do you find the sizing… I’m buying one and thinking maybe go a size up for layer. I have an Alpha FL and it’s perfect fit over a polo shirt of a light weight wool long sleeve.
Yo how does this fit compared the Beta AR? I had an XL but sold it as it was too big but I know the LT fits different, I wanna be able to layer up with it
@@AZKicksnFits thing is i found an xl online for an amazing price. do you think it will be ridiculously oversized ? i want to use it for backcountry skiing, i'll definitely layer a lot..
5'9 and 185 pounds. What size would you recommend? Do you think this will be a good cycling jacket? Not a road cyclist just a hybrid rider for fitness, and it rains a ton here.
the sleeves are long to go over mittens and gloves. your cons are for people who wear it for the wrong reasons. it’s not meant for people who walk around town to look trendy. it’s frustrating some people can’t get the jacket for true outdoor activities because some just want to take instagram pictures in it :/
@@AZKicksnFits i waited almost a year to get this jacket. i live in montana and every store would sell out within the first day of them being available and they were out of stock online for months, including my local stores and arcteryx
They used to have 3 different styles of the Beta Jacket SL, LT, and AR. SL(Now just the Beta= Super light. Best for use around town LT= Lightweight. Good for around town but best use is outdoor activities. AR= All a Round. Best used for Mountaineering, Skiing, Climbing. All three very in thickness the AR being the thickest of the 3. Also adds some insulation with how thick they are.
for what weather is that jaket? bro and im sleeve-81, schest-95, waist-76, height-176, weight-62(its all in cm). what size should I buy if I use it on the top layer on things of size L? I'm thinking about m
The long sleeve are made for the extra layers and movement. The hood size, just set the shape once and don’t change it. 🎉
It's a sports jacket, not a city rain jacket. Long arms for reaching above your head climbing and Swinging ice axes.

Hello mate would u do us a favour and show the atom LT laid ontop of this so we can see size of beta L vs size of Atom L ... thnx much 💪
I have a video on the atom lt where I pair them together
Question. Is the logo stitched? It doesn’t look like it but I can’t tell.

Do you have any idea when they are restocking the black colorway? Really want to cop one but can't find it in the black colorway anywhere. 😞

Turned this off the moment you called a specific water brand the "best type of water". Down voted and tuned out that exact moment.

Just ignore this moron. He gets offended over a comment on water ? He must be a thrill to be around.
