After graduating from Agriculture School in the 80s, I worked at a Government Livestock Research Station in Jamaica. To condition goats for breeding (also known as flushing): (1) For two weeks, a high-energy grain; rice, corn, or wheat was given at 0.5 to 1.0 lb per day (depending on size) (2) Give a multi-mineral lickstone or powder free choice (3) De-worm both male and females (4) Give vitamin E/Selenium and B injection to increase fertility. (5) Trim hooves. Unless there is iron deficiency, adding too much will cause an imbalance in the other micronutrients. Get a soil test to determine if iron is deficient.
@papasam4096 His goat and chicken pens are both built with slatted floors. To allow feces to fall through, the spacing between slats should be 1/2"-5/8" inch apart. The floor should be at least 1m from the ground to allow easy dung/feces removal and air circulation. In my experience, having a few ducks that can access the space below the slats will keep the area free of insects (flies) because ducks will remove the larvae.
I really love your videos sir, keep on uploading because my day isn't complete without watching dexter's world videos❤❤❤
