Really like seeing these types of customer reviews. I'm a production welder for ditch witch. I build the parts that make these and every other type of machine ditch witch makes. Glad to see people using and really liking these mini-skids.
@Fau Q $10,000 would be affordable $60,000 thats a same price at my kubota dealer for a new kubota M135gx here with a loader, bucket, forks and blower for same price
@Fau Q the kubota M series loader tractors are accully great landscaping tractors thats what i used to use for landscaping the lawn on the farm plus running disc harrow, and cultivator over and use the grain seeder for plantining grass seed wich work pretty good
I bought my Ditch Witch sk800, basically the newer model of Tigran's sk850, and that machine easily paid for itself in a year. Bought a mini excavator this year as well. You gotta own the equipment!
The best purchase ever for our landscape biz - Ditch Witch Mini skids. Easy to replace tracks with the grease mechanism instead of a big ass bolt like Vermeer. The tracks will come off if you’re not careful with gravel. If you like doing the maintenance - fairly simple to change out fluids, filters, etc. I love my Bitches. I’ll never own any other brand.
Just got me the Vermeer CTX 100. Dont wanna miss it. And youre damn right. When you show up at the job side and the customer sees you with good machines, he knows right away hes in good handy.
Hey, have you heard of the Vermeer CTX160 mini skid? It’s 42”wide and has a lift capacity of 1600lbs. It would be cool to compare it to your DW SK1550 if you could get your hands one.
The only thing missing is replace that silly duel stick drive system with the single joystick you will be much happier also we used a second joystick handle which is much taller on the right side and got rid of that little green knob it was too short to do any actual work. If you take the counterweight kit and turn them around backwards it puts more weight on the back of the machine thereby allowing you to pick up a full pallet of pavers.
What should I focus on first. Buying a mini skid and getting paver jobs done with my inexperienced team, or keep renting a mini skid and hire a experienced mason so I don’t have to do everything? New employee seems to cost a lot more lol but..
Equipment is everything T. Keep pushing man I’m your fan and you’re my inspiration I got my second new walker for my business definitely is the best investment

whats the bonus to that versus something like a full size kubota for only a couple thousand more, thats what I run but on different properties, I assume its just the size and where it can/cant fit
Awsome machine but a little bit pricry for you first machine, it's definitely a nice upgrade but, if you work in ares that are tightly build you can't go with the larger model unforunetly, sk600 and maybe sk800 are your options.
Dude I admire you so much. My framing and construction business crashed and I am scared to death to start over, of course o It wouldn't be framing anymore.
Why Ditch Witch? We bought a new Bobcat mini loader for $30k. And, for another $9k we got a set of forks, post hole auger and harley rake with it. Love it!
I’m always looking for efficient ways to do things. Like for starters, there’s a whole new system of truck in the market called SLT (super lawn trucks) you can build your very own half box truck half dumping hoist truck bed. They build it out of Isuzu truck and you can have half box in the front and dumping portion in the back. Or for lighter types of landscaping a dump side hopper.
Hello brother, always great videos! Keep up the good work. Those ditch witch are amazing. Wondering if now that you got a brand new one if you are gonna sell the old one or even any of the the skids? I'll be interested to buy one I'm barely starting so would want to get a used one I can afford. Then go big eventually like you did. Let me know. -Miguel

Good video. $60k is steep. I noticed where you you said extra tracks, bucket, and forks. Those few accessories aren't worth near $15k. Dealers inflate the price of their attachments way too much. It'll work out though. Cheers
@tigran do you recommend this over the bobcat s70? I’m starting concrete flat work/landscaping business and I like how the s70 you can add a breaker. S70 or ditch?
Depends on what you do if you're constantly on hard surfaces breaking up concrete and yes cs70 is physically a more robust machine I own two of them and it travels faster, with that being said even a small Ditch Witch will outlift a s70, and the versatility of being able to hop on and off is much more convenient than being shoehorned into the cab

Quick question. Why use the ditch witch to full the wheel barrels versus just dropping it where it needs to go???
What a great looking job !!! Congratulations on your new toy 🎊🎄🎄🎄
My cousins have the bobcat version of these we break concrete so fast and load up a dump really quick
For that kind of money cant you buy a "full size" Skid steer? Like a Kubota or Deere. They would also have hire lift height.
