Rancid was the only band I've ever seen live that I think of as sellouts. They played about 40 minutes years back at Summerfest up in Milwaukee, packed up, and left. Funnily enough, CM Punk and Lita we're standing off to the side of the stage.

My wife and I were lucky enough to see them front-row in Cincinnati on their Boston to Berkeley rescheduled show 2022. Lars ended up giving my wife his setlist and a guitar pick best day ever

I was here for this, unbelievable moment. Think about it frequently. Ruby is not one of my favorite wrestlers, but this moment was really the closest she’s come to feeling like a star.
Once I flew from Italy to San Francisco to go to a Rancid concert. That night they praised a guy from the audience seeing something like "This man's come here all the way from New York to attend" and the audience went wild, and I was like "Are you fucking kidding me?!" I'd do it again.
I wanted to hear Rancid play Ruby Soho live and then that woman came out and i cracked up laughing for the rest of the video that it was a wrestling event. Felt like a rick roll in 2000
Being a sellout is changing your style and image to make money. Rancid has never done any of that. They have been true to what they have always been. When out come the wolves came out the turned down so many offers from major labels to stay with epitaph and have been with them ever since. They are truly a great punk rock band and will always be one of my favorites. Just because they have some popularity now doesn't mean they are sellouts. That's the farthest from the truth.

@@Gardner316 yeah, but you can change without betraying your own ideals and morals. rancid could have signed to major labels on several different occasions, and made more money on a 5-year, 3-album contract... but then they would have basically been creatively bound. epitaph's strongest point is their standing contract deal, 1 year, 1 album. it has allowed the guys the freedom to go separate ways and make their own music, from the transplants to lfb to devil's brigade, and much, much more. they aren't greedy, they're making enough to live on, and are still free to make the music they want to.
Selling out is when you push political trends for money, which includes NOFX, Green Day, Jello Biafra, Offspring, Circle Jerks, Bad Religion, and Rage Against the Machine.

Didn't know who Ruby Soho was and I'm not a big fan of Rancid but as a general wrestling and punk fan, this was one of the most memorable entrances that I can recall. Sure, Triple H did it first with Motorhead but this was still pretty cool.
I worked at the Henry Fonda theater in Hollywood in the summer of 2006 as a bouncer and they played the weekend and had local bands open up for them, it was the fuckin coolest shit ever... Some dude in a wheelchair got lifted up and crowd surfed... Can't beat that 🤷🏾♂️

@@Gardner316 yeah, but you can change without betraying your own ideals and morals. rancid could have signed to major labels on several different occasions, and made more money on a 5-year, 3-album contract... but then they would have basically been creatively bound. epitaph's strongest point is their standing contract deal, 1 year, 1 album. it has allowed the guys the freedom to go separate ways and make their own music, from the transplants to lfb to devil's brigade, and much, much more. they aren't greedy, they're making enough to live on, and are still free to make the music they want to.

Didn't know who Ruby Soho was and I'm not a big fan of Rancid but as a general wrestling and punk fan, this was one of the most memorable entrances that I can recall. Sure, Triple H did it first with Motorhead but this was still pretty cool.

I worked at the Henry Fonda theater in Hollywood in the summer of 2006 as a bouncer and they played the weekend and had local bands open up for them, it was the fuckin coolest shit ever... Some dude in a wheelchair got lifted up and crowd surfed... Can't beat that 🤷🏾♂️
