As the video begins, it's as though I've stepped into a time machine, whisked away to a cherished era I've wandered through countless times in my dreams. The swaying coconut trees, the quaint shop houses, the boy pedaling his bicycle, and the vintage buses and cars-they paint a picture of my Singapore, a place of timeless beauty and nostalgia. Oh, how enchanting it is!

It brings me alot of fond memories , especially the Kallang Gas work, and the smelly Kallang river.Use to travel with my family. But now they have passed away. The background songs are very nice.
Your video broughtt back memories....i was 12 years old....my father owned the Austin Cambridge....and sadly i lost my mother in 1967.....Thank you for this video🙏
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I was in Pri 5 in 1967. I still recognise the streets and many of the buildings, though many no longer exist. This nostalgic moment made me shed a tear.
This footage is a gem. Filmed four years before i was born, but can still recall some of the buildings from childhood that are long gone. Feels like a time machine. Thank you so much for posting.
After passing by my alma mater along Bras Basah road, the car turned left and there was that breathtaking view of the sea along Beach Road. This video really brings back lots of memories!!! Thanks for posting!
Ah yes, I think it was my father's Alma Mater too, at Bras Basah. Mine as well, except it was at Grange Road, then at Bishan for my last few months there.
Thank you for this wonderful video, brought back so many wonderful memories when I use to travel as a little boy with my mum in public buses and would amaze myself looking out of the window…..I loved the old Singapore
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. The songs are so beautiful as well. I left SG in 1980 after my ROD and remain overseas. Today’s SG is not what I remember. This video does bring back a lot of memories. Singapore Forever. From USA.
wow thank you so much. the singapore i remembered when dad drove us. when orchard road was a 2 way traffic. turning into bideford road and there was no CTE. I am so tempted to take a drive that same route and video it. ending it at frankle ave was a sweet spot for me.
Wow that actually sounds like a good idea. Maybe put your video next to this one to see the changes 👍 Or just upload it to UA-cam so that someone in 2081 can admire the scenes from Singapore, 57 years ago.
Thank you posting this really brings back memories when I was a kid. By the way I like the song very much is it called Bunga Sayang but I cannot find the artist can you share?
The original 8mm film is probably gone. It had been remastered onto poor quality vhs tape which was thought high quality in the 80's. Nothing one can do if the master film is gone.
Well, it is a nice video, but I got headache watching it as it is very shaky and unstable. It is understanable since the video cam was a very old model.
This was originally shot on a 8mm film camera. Then remastered onto blurry vhs video tape in the 80's which you're viewing. I think the original film is gone if not good quality can be attained by modern mastering processes
@PsionStar in 1967 there was only 8mm film for home movies. Richer people used 16mm film which was many times more expensive but gave hi res quality. No digital video then. As I see it it's low resolution 8mm film digitised to YT., or 8mm converted to VHS in the 80's then digitised.

Who sang this version of Bunga Sayang?
Sounds like Anita Sarawak.

WHY SO JERKY? TRANSCRIBED FROM 8MM FILM? THE PROJECTOR IS FAULTY?
Streamed directly from 1967. Slow latency to be expected.
