Today I'll do a review of 5 by the Spanish niche house Rosendo Mateu. I've been mentioning this fragrance in several of my previous videos, so it's about time to review this sexy, seductive and alluring amber scent.

You presented this in such a lovely way. I fell in love with this fragrance while working for a large German reseller and writing the description for his online shop. I got a sample to take a nose full in order to obtain full knowledge of what I am describing - and it was BOOOMM. I totally agree with what you are saying. This one is unique, rounded, amberish, I would call it sexy but deep yet vast, simply high perfume mastery. Rosendo Mateu is one of the very few "Maître Parfumeurs" and with this fragrance at the latest you will find out why. No. 5 develops all its facets throughout the hours of wearing and leaves a very interesting aftermath after some wearing time. The sillage is strong but not intrusive. Love love love it. Nice to know that you as a man value it the same way. Love the passion with which you described it. Thanks!

Came back to it recently. The first time i purchased a sample, i was not impressed because (at the time) it was not what I was seeking. I came back to it by pure coincidence and OMG i love it so much. So classy and sensual (but not sensual in the overly sweet mass appealing way)

Some reviews of fragrantica say that there is a slight rubber smell when first sprayed, is that true? Most of my collection is gourmand- fruity-vanilla, but I'm very interested in the reviews of no 5. What do you think, would I like it?

Couldn't tell you about performance, because I only tested it on paper strip, but Rosendo Mateu's fragrances have a tendency to last a good amount. About the scent itself it's a fresh citrus with tea and sandalwood...I don't know of another fragrance with that kinda "vibe", sorry...

Fragrance Journey is a great channel, he's a great reviewer and has a fantastic taste (but I'm being bias, because it's similar to mine 😁). You have Rosendo Mateu offerings at MiN NY store. A couple months ago they didn't had 5 available, but check if they have it now 😉
