'They said, when I was thinking of joining this new magic school, that they rock all night and party every day. Little did I know, we cast Create Rock and do children's parties. Should have expected this...'
Been addicted to this for last few days. Best idle game out there I think. More than once I've sat thinking "if only I could do this" just to find it later in the game. Quick tip, the stat page is very useful as it tells you what you'll learn next with research and how long it will take. BTW you ended just before it starts getting interesting after you craft your first weapon.
There's something great that unlocks at Conjuration level 8. (Though you can't automate it until level 9)
It allows you to completely shift your focus away from micromanaging the construction of your campus and throw yourself into the combat system.
this game is a very active idler, the grind is heavy until you get enough apprentices and unlock conjure building. thats when the idleing truly starts.
The clicking element is ok, since you can hold down the gather buttons and it will gather really fast.
One thing that i really like, is that the dev is really active in the discord is open to suggestions and such.
Holy cow, it's actually on mobile.
I want it
btw since you mentioned it, this game is done in terms of main story content but there is post game coming alongside many other minor updates like the newest one in beta that adds a beastiary and slightly smarter apprentices, so they won't say cast conjure boulder when you're full on rock.
Oh cool, I remember the dev who made this game and looking at the trailer on Steam he really managed to do a lot with one project on teaching himself how to program UI elements onto one program screen. I bet he got that Game Developer job that he wanted so badly. 🙂
I need to try out the demo for this, the UI looks so clean and inviting! Thanks for introducing me to the game!
Thanks man. You havent found me a good one of these in awhile. I appreciate you. Idle games are perfect for monitor #2. Melvor Idle is Runescape in idle form if you need a fun one for the second monitor. Not streamable though.
Love the bit were you conned someone into becoming your apprentice 😂
the incremental wizardry returns!!!
Love this type of game, THANK YOU for showing this game to me :)
Oh, I've actually played this one. I really enjoy it!
Hey Wander your music is pretty loud this vid, think it might be good to check your sound mixing before your next upload. Fun vid as always though.
Hello Wander, I greatly enjoyed the video and figured if you were interested in incremental games that are mainly text with minimal aesthetics I would like to recommend a game called Another Chronicle. The beginning of the game begins very similar to this with it starting as a basic clicker and then evolving far beyond that with an interesting fantasy setting and an interesting party building mechanic. If you do check the game out I hope you like it!
when you refer to incremental soup, I have 3 27" monitors and I usually have an idle open on each. Territory idle on my left, Grim clicker on my center, and Underworld idle on my left
I personally had quite a bit of eye strain when playing this on darkmode. If you experience the same I recommend going back to the light.
watching you play convinced me to buy the game on steam, thanks for making me spend 5 bucks xd
I've been playing this game all week since you posted this video, and I can say without a doubt, it's the best Idle Game I've ever played. The mechanics unlock and build on each other in really cool ways, at a fairly steady pace, and some of the challenges can be legitimately challenging, and can be overcome with real strategy and execution instead of just waiting around to outpower them by prestiging and passively growing. I don't know if it could make for great youtube content, but it's definitely an excellent game.
What music was being played in the background?
I'm having trouble figuring what Conjure Building does. Also, the purpose of exploration, you fight monsters but you don't gain any experiences but materials.
Conjure building is there so you can let the apprentices build new buildings assuming you have the resources, so that you don't have to click on them yourself.
4 minutes in I bought the game. I guess I'm far enough in watching the video won't be spoilers anymore.
Need those other incremental games since the upcoming ORB update is wiping saves
THERE'S *ANOTHER* INCREMENTAL MAGIC RESEARCH GAME?!
Dammit I'm still playing theory of magic I don't got time for this!
Add it to the list I guess :/
I ended up fighting one of the harder bosses on accident, i either have to retire or beat it to get ir over with. I really want to beat the boss, but i dont know how to beat him. I dont want to retire, either. I need tips on how to beat 'the creator'
Is this as good as Arcuman: theory of Magic? It looks similar but since this one costs i wonder if it'd give anything that i didn't get from the other game.
But still i'm always happy to see new inrementals
I prefer arcanum, but this is feature complete and better balanced.
looks interesting game look foward to it
Hey, Wander! Could you share your clicker script?)
Well this is different….
How this this end up on your radar?
Some discord members got really into it, so I figured I'd give it a shot. We're all secret incremental addicts ever since Orb of Creation.
Yey! Return of soup! 🍜
Please do more
Can anyone recommend games like this in Android?
cool
Can a 4090ti run this?
I don't think so. You'll also need the rest of a desktop (Case, Mobo, CPU, HDD, PSU, etc...), otherwise the 4090ti has no hope of running Magic Research.
That's a shame, I would have expected better optimization.
Incremental souuuuuup
