Well pretty much any helicopter with a tail rotar turns more quickly in one direction then the other so usually the helicopter will turn in the direction that is easier. For the Hind those are left turns hence the cockpit is designed to accomidate that.

Someone made Flaming Cliff 3 modules fully/mostly clickable. It is a free mod that just released a week or two ago. I believe the frogfoot is part of it.
The 30mm is much more effective than the inaccurate, low damage effect peashooter on the D that can only inflict damage on infantry and unarmored vehicles.
You actually don't, after you align and fly straight towards the target the gun from a Marder, a wire guided missile from a BMP or 20mm from AAA will take care about that. IFV/APC AI is crazy accurate in DCS against helicopters. 😇
@@Eleolius Detection is actually quite ok and reasonable (group communicating over the radio, front/side/rear arc different and LOS affected by stuff). It's more the insane target tracking and lead calculation and aim with ATGM against Helicopters at 3000-4000m distance, that makes BMPs sometimes more dangerous than most AAA. 😇
The glass reflection on the instruments looks much nicer! I think it's a shame that the rocket smoke is drawn in white. Gray would be more realistic, right?. Good video! thumbs up ✌.
Hi Matt aka comrade, I have 2 questions. what does the "fxd mg 30 RELOAD" button stand for? can you refill ammo with a stopover somewhere in the field? as far as i know the hind likes to have extra ammo for itself loaded in the soldiers transport compartment. and what are the 2 switches in the top center 1-3 with the RECHARGE heading?
Just a question: is the speed drop really valid during the fast burst of the GSh-30K? As far as I know, if you set the fast burst mode, the cannon could slow down the entire helicopter in the air, by a 100km/h, even if the speed was over 250km/h. I saw several times the Mi-24P firing in real, at the local firing range with both cannon mode. The slow rate of fire is the mostly used way of firing, because of the extremly huge back kick of the high rate mode.

The Mi-24P has not been sidetracked, it's a different team and an examination of the change log shows many new features and fixes well after the release of the AH-64D.

Hey wags, what rockets did you have loaded aboard for this? That seems to be a sort of short range for the maximum range on the gunsight, there's footage of hinds in Syria getting accurate hits with rockets from significantly further out.
Will we be able to jump to the front seat in multiplayer? I mean if it's needed to arm switches there to fire weapons and you don't have a real human in the front? I know a lot of players will want to fly this and shoot unguided weapons without a human gunner in front. I just hope we can do that in multiplayer.
switching seats im 99.999% sure will be done just by pressing 1 or 2 on your keyboard, for flying alone (without another human player) you will be accompanied by "Sidrovich" which is the Hind's variant of "Jester" found in the F-14A/B
@@koekiejam18 Yeah, but in the F-14, in multiplayer, you can't jump into the rear cockpit with 1 and 2 as it is multicrew. So the only way to operate anything back there is to have another player afaik.

How else do you strike fear into the target? You've gotta show them they're dealing with a Hind. 9/10 they'll give up.

Yes, this is our new glass tech. We recognize the rocket smoke color and on the to do list. Not just color, but also needs to be more volumetric.

What is the penetration value of the armor piercing rounds this cannon fires? Does it fire APDS?
It only fires a standard AP shell. Like the A-10C, closer the target the better for maximum pen.

Should gun runs be preformed with the autopilot assistance (yaw, roll, pitch) on or off? Read conflicting things on this.

@@Antares2 AFAIK, both jester and sidrovich are meant to prevent that, it might be an inevidable issue due to how DCS servers are structered...
