I absolutely love how she goes to dollar tree, Costco and pharmacies to analyze and shop. She explains what to look for and to avoid. Other You Tubers dermatologists want to sell you their very special , expensive products to cure all your problems. So down to earth. She realizes that many people have dermatology problems but do not have a great deal of money to address it. Love, love her.

The color switch sponge absolutely does work. It just gets the color off the brush so that you can start something fresh. It's not meant to replace a deep clean of your brushes once or twice a week, it's just to switch colors. But I just use a microfiber towel and it's just as effective.

RE: Switching sponge. Yes it works for color switching. You have to rub the brush along the sponge. It will get probably 80% or more of the color off. I wouldn't go super dark to super light but it can help. It's not replacement for cleaning though.

I like the dollar tree sponge color cleaners, but they only last about 4 months with gentle cleaning, and they fill up with powder fast, so you need to wash them a lot. I think using a cloth is better long term, but I love the sponge in the tin for travel.

LaMerciere setting spray is a skincare/makeup hybrid. Really impressive ingredients for those with dry skin, works very well! I think it's called "matte" but it's a natural finish, it has Shea butter in it and some other nice stuff. It's only 1 oz, but even if it were 2-3 oz,it would still be less expensive than the wet & wild or elf sprays. My skin loves it & it does help lock in the moisture in my primer & skin tint, so that I don't get worse wrinkles thru the day.

Instead of suctions cups and command hooks try using stick pins. Gently tap with a hammer into the wall (so the pin doesn't bend on you). The stick pin is strong and leaves a tiny hole that you probably won't see after you take the pin out even if you don't paint over it. Thanks for the video.

My older sister wanted to try out the mayonnaise in the hair thing when we were kids (it supposedly softens hair), only didn't want to experiment on her own hair. She talked our younger sister into it, all it did was make her hair smell like Mayo. So next, my older sister talked her into washing it with beer because it was supposed to be extra cleansing. Nope, she just smelt like mayo and beer.

Color switches totally work!! I love them so much! They just remove the last color on the brush so you can use the same one with a different shade (or if you are swatching a bunch of shadows). It can also work as a "precleanse" kind of! In that you remove most of the color on the brush before doing a proper cleaning (the eyeshadow double cleanse, lol). But for the sake of using the same brush with different shadows, it works so well.

Once again, thank you so much for all you do. It's the information, but it's also quite simply that you're good company. You're fun to hang out with. :) I'm not sure how useful it might be, but to enable that suction cup habit (I kid), a little bit of liquid soap on that cup before sticking it on a wet surface can aid in adhesion. That's not to say it wont eventually crash, but it may help it stick longer.

I beg to differ about scented laundry detergent. If I’m anywhere near someone who washes their clothes in Tide, the smell overwhelms me, and I start having breathing problems. It’s true of other laundry soaps, but Tide is an unmistakable smell. I’ve had to leave elevators because of it. Even worse for me (especially in elevators) is the combined scents of laundry detergent, hair products, body products, makeup, and perfume.

I tried those Micro Darts a while back and like you, was not impressed with them. 😕 I had back surgery 2 years ago which has made it difficult to apply lotions to my back without being able to twist or bend. I found a lotion applicator on amazon that's like a mini paint roller. The handle telescopes to a longer length if needed and the roller head has an adjustable angle. The roller is also removeable for washing. I love it! It's made application quicker and much easier and I can get every square inch back there. 😇
I have the color switch sponge for eyeshadow brushes. It works quite well for removing most of the color so you can use the same brush to apply a different shade. It's not meant to replace washing it though.

I'm going to go see what the sponge is for eye brushes. I have used some in the past. Some work great some you can't clean so it is wasteful. But some do work great! It's nice because you pretty much just swirl the bristles and the excess pigment powder will fall out into the tin and sponge. However if you have a brush that you used a wet method like wetting a brush and then diging the brush into a glittered multichrome or something that will not come off well using those sponges. The dry shampoo by sephora brush cleaner is surprisingly really good to clean brushes.

I was thinking about getting the one you can use at home and was keeping my ears open for remarks about them and I heard that the laser is wonderful and you only need to use it a few times and then you don't but it only works on dark hair so I might be disappointed with one because some of those are either white or grey and black 😱😳, then I was thinking what if you put something on so you could see them🤔

Thank you for the nostalgia parasthetica recommendation. I was JUST diagnosed with that in July. It was driving me crazy. Still does but I was told about some stretches that help. . ... They do but not completely. I am getting and trying the cream you recommend. Here's hoping it helps

Chafing confuses me. If it’s a skin fold , how is more moisture going to help. But it can still feel dry tight flaky and scaly and damp at the same time 😢

No, Clarisonic has Brush heads, but the unit just vibrates more than anything. The Imitations that were made afterwards by other companies had a head that rotates, dragging the skin & that one is aggressive. I’ve been using my Clarisonic since the later half of 2009 & it’s been a game changer for my skin. The reason they went out of business is first they were sold to L’Oréal & then they put that on the back burner and didn’t market it properly anymore, in favor of other products. There was nothing wrong with Clarisonic.

I got urea foot cream and the first time I used it, my hands got super irritated and itchy. So, when I use my foot cream, I have to wear gloves or use a tiny spatula to put it on. I would have never guessed the urea would be so strong. 🤷‍♀️

You guys in the US seem to have great options in a dollar store now! I remember dollar trees when I was still living there they didn’t have decent selection then. A few lip balms looked great but true, I wouldn’t use lanolin as people not only have allergies to lanolin but suddenly you can develop an allergy when you put them on lips and especially around your eyes. Same for rose hip oil. I haven’t used some cosmetics in a dollar store (we call it a hundred yen shop here in Japan), but I saw Nivea there the other day (a smaller tin) and some hand creams. They’re often more than a dollar like $2/$3 equivalent. They also have eye shadows etc. I wish they had fragrance free stuff in most eyeshadows and face products. I’m allergic to most fragranced makeup, it causes me itchy eyes and inflammation.
